Another great shorebird from Wheatley Beach East - - the Ruddy Turnstone is an amazingly colorful bird that was so busy foraging in the sand it almost bumped into me while I was laying on the beach with my camera on a ballhead sitting on a beanbag on the ground.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
We had the necessary rain last night and this morning. Everything looks so beautiful and I love the smell of wet earth.
...name these mushrooms! I think they are some kind of boletus but don't trust me. They look quite edible but are these fungus good to eat? :-) Found in a woodland clearing.

Description in English and Dutch:
Land art park Buitenschot is one of the most unique parks in the world in terms of noise reduction. Buitenschot is located on the north side of Hoofddorp and forms a buffer between Schiphol Amsterdam Airport (Polderbaan) and residential areas. Through a landscape design in which hills are laid out in certain patterns, so that sound is reflected several times. This in turn means that the noise of taxiing and taking off aircraft is no longer a nuisance for residents in the residential areas. The embankments are 3 meters high and are sunken into the ground level. The noise barriers affect the low-frequency noise of aircraft taking off. It is a Schiphol project that was partly realized with the cooperation of the residents and the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, to which Schiphol and Hoofddorp belong. The green park is also a beautiful recreation area where you can walk and cycle. In the distance you can see the most impressive planes taxiing and take off on the other side without the sound of this bothering you.

The obstacles an ant may have in its travels are probably quite obvious. Then again maybe not.
The odd thing here was that when I got on my belly to tale a shot of some distant flower I saw this to the one side and thought how odd.
Smile on Saturday
Let's swing in a completely direction for a change, back to the ground shots I was producing, this whole street currently is completely under snow at the moment here in Berlin; and it's -12 at the moment.
This one I feel is about perspectives, rendering it into Monochrome gave it a more aged and industrial feel about it, especially the bricks. When I first got serious about photography, I actually wanted to pursue an Urban direction, but by vibrational guidance I ended up going for natural/nature themed imagery. But I can't resist heading back to town so to speak. Enjoy!
I hope everyone's Monday went well and so as always, thank you! :)

This is the second image in the sequence - the previous image shows the beginning of the dispute, and this its rapid escalation. As I wrote: these are very tough birds, and very territorial.
While I was securing these images, a person drove down the road, and decided to discuss the fact that I was prone on a rural road taking photographs of Snow Buntings. I think the person may have been motivated by good will, as the person drew my attention to the fact that 300 metres down the road there was a Snowy Owl on a hydro pole. I thanked him - though he had, with his car, flushed the birds - and reassured him I knew.
He then commented, in a less helpful way, that these were Snow Buntings, as if to say ‘you know these are just passerines’, reinforcing the apparent oddity of lying on the road using a camera in their company. I thanked him, and then got the distinct impression he wanted to get out of his car and take a photograph of me. I was pleased when he drove on, and the birds eventually returned.

Another for the "Gone to Ground" collection, I took this I think about a week or so ago. Happened upon this parked truck and the pavement weed that was perfectly centred to the wheel, which initially I walked past but went back to to take a second look, hey presto, photo.
Now for a game of mind reading, I bet I can read your thoughts so here goes.
1. You thought this was taken in the middle of the day, it wasn't it, was taken in the middle of the night.
2. You didn't notice that this was partial monochrome.
3. You scrolled back up for a second look now didn't you?
OK, so how did I do? Was I right?
I hope everyone's week is off to a great start and so as always, thank you! :)

From an ants' point of view - a tiny spruce cone, and chip of spruce bark - look mighty intimidating.
Posted for "Smile on Saturday" theme; "From the Ground". HSoS!
Too hot, buggy, and muggy for a forest shot, so I took my forest collection inside for this photo and placed it on the floor.
