Took this photo from the bridge that connects Munshigonj with Narayangonj. The river was busy as it connects with Dhaka. On the backdrop, several chimneys of brick kilns are visible representing confront between nature and humans.

Stretching across the calm waters of the Öresund Strait, the Øresund Bridge is more than steel and concrete—it is a symbol of Scandinavian unity and sustainable progress. Linking Malmö in Sweden with Copenhagen in Denmark, this 16-kilometer marvel combines road and rail, reducing travel time and fostering cross-border collaboration. Beneath the sweeping Nordic skies, it stands as a testament to engineering excellence and a shared vision for a greener future.

Fun Fact

The Øresund Bridge is part of a unique hybrid structure: a bridge, an artificial island (Peberholm), and a tunnel. This design was chosen to protect air traffic near Copenhagen Airport and preserve the delicate marine ecosystem.

The story so far.

Saint Watford arrived at the Bosses door.

Lound music could be heard inside the room.

There you are Saint Watford I have a job for you!

Yes, Boss tell me my instructions?

Pinocchio, the little boy that we gave life to for that old man has fallen into bad company in your Manor!

What I want you to do is travel to earth and find Pinocchio and keep him safe.

Do I need transport on earth Boss?

Yes, you do Saint Watford!

Your transport is now outside a beautiful white Bike.

Can I have a big car like your mate the Pope.

No Saint Watford because we need to take care of earth and be Greener!

Now you know the story, Saint Watford is now on foot searching the High Street looking for the little youth!!!!

The word Manor is used in a London Cockney slang way to express the area you live.

The Woolwich Ferry chugs along the Thames with a cheerful hum, showcasing the new hybrid ship, the Dame Vera Lynn, on its southern side route. This eco-friendly beauty, with its sleek blue and white design, is a nod to London’s commitment to greener waters. As it glides past, you can almost hear the faint echo of wartime melodies, a playful tribute to the legendary singer it’s named after, bringing a bit of nostalgia to the modern skyline!

In the background, London’s skyscrapers pierce the cloudy sky, a stunning contrast to the sturdy ferry terminal. The Dame Vera Lynn seems to wink at the towering giants, as if to say, “I may be hybrid, but I’ve got soul!” Passengers onboard might just break into a spontaneous sing-along, imagining Vera’s voice carrying over the waves, while the city’s hustle-bustle adds a lively backdrop to this charming maritime scene.

With the new hybrid tech, this ferry is not just a ride but a gentle revolution on the river. The Dame Vera Lynn promises a smoother, quieter journey, letting you enjoy the view of London’s evolving skyline without the usual engine roar. It’s a delightful blend of history, innovation, and a touch of British whimsy—perfect for a scenic trip across the Thames!

The city of Bradford in northern England held on to its trolleybus system until early 1972, this bus here is reported to be the last one that ran back in 1972. It's seen here in preservation at the Sandtoft Trolley Bus Museum in northern Lincolnshire, UK. You can still ride this bus during the open days at the museum. The bus is seen here in its Bradford Corporation colours.

NOT. The rear suspension fell off this one! I was amazed and alarmed that this could happen. Is the MOT test stringent enough? The recovery added chaos to the already grid locked streets, that being caused by construction work for the much delayed and very over budget Tram system

View from the funicular leading up to the main level of the Centre for Alternative Technology (in the southern part of Meirionydd, Gwynedd, northwestern Wales, near Machynlleth, which is in Powys, Mid Wales), on a mostly sunny morning in early May.

This view is towards the northwest, with mountains of southern Snowdonia, in Snowdonia National Park (in Welsh, Parc Cenedlaethol Erythri), which has a boundary just across the road (the A487) from the Centre. The higher peak in the background may be part of Cadair Idris(?), one of the highest mountains in the southern part of the Park.

According to the Centre's Website (consulted 1 March 2014), "CAT is an education and visitor centre demonstrating practical solutions for sustainability. We cover all aspects of green living: environmental building, eco-sanitation, woodland management, renewable energy, energy efficiency and organic growing." It was founded on the site of a former slate quarry in 1973 and has since expanded considerably from its original size and scope. (My husband and I first visited it in 1989, then saw the extent of its growth when we returned in 2012.) The water-powered funicular is just one example of its reliance on the the types of alternative energy and modes of living that it demonstrates.

Train Chartering supplied this Class 50 diesel locomotive as part of a charter train used for filming by the BBC. The train is in Paddington Station, London.

The 436 bus route runs from Lewisham Centre Molesworth Street to Battersea Park Station and is operated by Go-Ahead London, arrives on time working the 13.12 from Lewisham. The location is Vauxhall Bus Station with it's spectacular modern London views. According to a piece of paper stuck on a wall, there is an invitation to learn about a new proposed Vauxhall Bus Station development. Knowing Hertford Bus Station as I do I am already envious of Vauxhall so maybe Hertford can have your old Bus Station when you have finished with it!!!!!!!.

So less of my rambling and these are the bus details:
