Hi there,
I've not seen a tree frog for quite a few years, so I felt like I hit the jackpot the other day. This tiny frog was about an inch long at best.
Thank you for stopping by and for leaving me a comment! Have a great day and weekend!

This little green frog was in a pond in one of my walks around the parks. I don't really remember where I took this photo. It has not been possible for me to take my walks in the parks lately but soon I will, nature really calls me! 🐸
Also been seeing them on milkweed plants, hollyhocks and other plants in our garden. Garden is next to a bog and a pond. Northern Wisconsin

They were very restless and chasing after each other. For us above all it was very amusing to watch and to hear them

Making good use of the lily pad this Green Frog soaks up the morning sun in a Rock Garden pond, located in the Royal Botanical Gardens, Hamilton, Ontario.
(Lithobates clamitans)
This guy found himself in trouble. A friend called to say he was in her pool skimmer, and they were ready to add chlorine for the summer. I came over and grabbed him. Tomorrow he will be placed in a nice preserve with a pond near me. I fully expected it to be a Bullfrog.... but it's a Green Frog. These are the guys that sound like a guitar string being strummed. I asked him to pose for me, and he was gracious and was a very cooperative model.
A crocodile frog with dentures?
Not quite. ....but the markings on the lower jaw do closely resemble an extremely fine set of chompers.....

“A frog does not drink up the pond in which it lives.”
~ Native American Proverb
The green frog (Lithobates clamitans or Rana clamitans) is a species of frog native to the eastern half of the United States and Canada.
This Green frog is so well camouflaged that at first I had no idea there was a frog in duck weed soup.
Did you notice the insect by its right eye (your left)?
Cette grenouille verte est si bien camouflée que je ne l'avais pas vue au départ dans cette soupe de lentilles d'eau.
Vous avez remarqué l'insecte sous son oeil droit (à votre gauche)?

This image a tad bit soft - floating blind at 1200mm. Shutter should have been a bit faster.

Amusing myself while waiting on ducks at the pond. When you approach these creatures from the water (rather than the bank) and down low, they will let you get amazingly close. Camera hand held (propped) from a floating blind. Full frame.
Tiny "water fleas" (for lack of a better term) can be seen just below and to the left of his eye - click image to enlarge.
