Naturaleza salvaje en su máxima expresión...
Wilderness at his best...Region Aysen, Patagonia, Chile
This hydrangea hasn't quite decided whether it wants to be blue or purple. This "indecision" happens naturally when the roots find a mixture of alkaline and acidic soil. My garden is very alkaline, but in order for pink hydrangeas to create blue flowers, the soil has to be naturally acidic or ammended.
I had been hoping to find some irises as a foregroung for a landscape and these were in the perfect spot. There are stunning views of the Cuillins across the loch.

Normally we take the car up to the Peak District, but this time I decided to let the train take the strain, the station at Edale is the start point for the hike up to Kinder, then topped it off with a couple of pints in the tap house on Sheffield station whilst waiting for our connecting train back to Nottingham, for me, that was a perfect day.
Season of Mist.........
Early afternoon and no sign of the mist lifting today, everything very quiet and still.
I have been on 2 weekend breaks, first weekend spent with Storm Keira, then the weekend after I spent it with Storm Dennis, didn't manage to get out with camera, now this weekend at home we have to contend with Storm Jorge, i'm not looking for sympathy here, but i'm just a bit fed up with the rain now.
A wonderful track, surrounded by blue mountains, wandering up the valley of Strathdionard, near Durness, in the Scottish Highlands. In under an hour, this lovely Autumn light had changed and heavy rain and mist came in.
This is the first in a three image mini-drama that played out in the waters just off of South Padre Island, Texas.
Do you think this Great Blue Heron could down that giant fish?
Stay tuned.
On a calm day, the Langdale Pikes are all reflected in the Tarn. Today there was a cold wind blowing, ruffling up the water, so just a small reflection was captured.

This Windmill is one of Warwickshire's famous landmarks.
It was built around 1632-33 by Sir Edward Peyto (Lord of Chesterton manor).
Built from local limestone it is supported by six semicircular arches on piers.
The mill has undergone 3 major reconstructions:-
1 in 1776 when the shaft was modified
1 in 1860 when the cap was altered
and 1 in 1969 when larger reconstruction works began under the control of Warwickshire County Council (W.C.C) which finished in 1971.
This mill is the oldest tower mill in England to retain any of its working parts.
Psalm 35:8 “Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.”
“Le temps et l'espace sont infinis, et pourtant on n'en a jamais assez.”
