it's a wet spring here in wisconsin. i'm entranced by the backyard puddles. they tell rich yet varied stories. and i'm drawn to them every single day. makes me think of words from t.s. eliot: "We shall not cease from exploration // And the end of all our exploring // Will be to arrive where we started // And know the place for the first time."

This abandoned building is just outside the Wall, SD entrance to Badlands National Park. The graffiti on the side says Bondo MLS. Wall Drug signs are everywhere so it isn't surprising to find one here. Wall Drug still offers coffee for 5 cents and free water.

This was taken at Victoria, Canada. The ships, the mountains and the rocks form a peaceful and harmony scene.

The 'oysterlings' are a bit tricky. C. cesatii has quite different spores when compared to C. variabilis but after that it gets harder.

The sun exits stage west behind the Rocky Mountain foothills, lighting up empty grass florets that have mostly shed their seeds.

This was so funny yesterday watching these 2 - you can see Rio in background and Millie is quite clearly tentatively moving very slowly across the grass keeping a watchful eye out for her arch enemy!!
