Horses grazing along the roadside next to St Cenydd's church in the village of Llangennith

It has been a long while since I last did an HDR image. Back then I used to overdo the strength, saturation etc. These days I try to tone down a bit but sometimes can't help it cos my eyes seem to get attracted to rich colours.

Anyway, yesterday I decided to take a couple of HDR shots. Basically it's a grass cutting vehicle that's been lying around outside the Plant where I'm working. I've been aiming to shoot this equipment with the Plant as a background but did not have the opportunity to do so due to time constraints. Although the weather wasn't so good yesterday (very cloudy & gloomy), I just decided to take some shots since I had a bit of time to kill before going back home.

In all, I took two (2) different perspectives of the grass cutter, six (6) exposure per view. Here's one view.

The images were converted from NEF RAW to TIFF in LR3, merged & processed in Photomatix Pro and final processing back in LR3. Hope I've not overdone the processing.

Let me know what you think!

The Grass Cutter.. Milton of Campsie

Inside sketch of the Grasscutter hardcover book.

Was a bit bored so i decided to try something

The grass is greener on the other side-The monssons are here and everyone is busy trimming the grass so that it grows back with the rains

A similar image as the previous one, except that it's from a lower perspective. This time, I've reduced the vibrance in LR3 to give it a muted look.

Seems like there's a slight halo around the grasscutter, even though I'd tried not to overdo the tone mapping in Photomatix.

Whilst processing this image, I realise how dirty my CMOS is!!! Had to clone/heal like10+ boogers!!!

There's Ray and Grasscutter - old Windsor MAG regulars.

This is a set of photos that Jeff did. It's from Kempton Park where they do an auto jumble and a bike show inside.

I made it for my 3 years old grass cutter.

These villages with load of cut grass on their head, were on their way to Kalatop and were too camera shy.

Accra Prison Grasscutter Animal

Jimmy Dean, Link, and Frank had to check out the new lawn mower and give it their blessing - it confused them - it cut the grass but made no noise!

I wish to have it... it's cool tho..:)

We woke up early and went to the reservoir to let doggie run free. But a small army of grass cutters were hard at work, marching in formation up and down the field, so we waited for them to be done with the grass. It was almost military in precision.
