Just over a mile from the previous uploaded Pro Graphix group and heading into rural Derbyshire is Whaley Service Station which dates back from the 1950's.
During this time most of the big brands of fuel had been sold here including BP, Texaco and Esso with the last brand of fuel being sold here was Avia towards the end of the 1980's.
I had a chat with the owner who said although fuel sales carried on until 1991 he couldn't remember if the site was still branded as Avia but they still had the same fuel supplier
The tank ventilators still stand today with the 2008/2009 street view showing an old Tokheim pump which had been used for paraffin.
