We've been working on a very exciting identity system for a company called SonnyLight. They have developed a counter top sized LED Kitchen Grow light for all of us that struggle with starting seeds in the spring. Now you can have fresh basil all winter and not stress about getting your annuals started. We designed their identity system and are in the works on packaging and ad campaign.
During this assignment we were challenged to create a series of book covers based on a concept we came up with. We could choose any 4 Barnes and Noble Classics, but each book had to have one common theme to tie them all together.
I chose the theme of “beating the odds”, so I included The Odyssey, Robinson Crusoe, Sailing Alone around the World, and Call of the Wild and White Fang.
I chose a minimalist approach to try and emphasize the small against the large, and I think it worked out fairly well.

I wanted to share some screen composition elements with you: they will indicate the ideal placement of an action button.

T-Shirt Design by Thurgood Marshal High School Students
Students were asked to design a t-shirt that was inspired by the word "highway". "Highway" was chosen as the subject of their design since this major cityscape feature is visible from the windows of their classroom. Each student designed their t-shirt using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. When they were finished, the designs were printed directly onto the shirts and heat set. The printing of the shirts was made possible by a generous donation of services by Mr. Willis.
Students at Thurgood Marshal found this project to be rewarding, as they proudly wore their shirts around campus for several days after the completion of the project. This has prompted many of the other students around campus to take an interest in industrial arts, as well as the creative arts.
