Was for my uni theme journal (my theme was gradation) but I ended up throwing this page out and doing something else. I used gouache paint for the branches :)

I've already given up on the idea of getting a sketch finished per day...and I still want to try for addressing every item in the Inktober prompt list for this year anyway.
Sketch # 2 - "Scurry"
This was the first thought I had for it.
The user uses this piece of equipment to gain insight into the typeface Helvetica. while the user is searchin for media that includes Helvetica, it is giving tutorials on the typefaces history, anatomy, companies that use Helvetica etc.
When a publication involving the Helvetica typeface is found, (via the 'infrared badge scanner') it will alert the user
The University of Salford has created the country’s first repository to showcase unique, creative typefaces designed by students from Salford and across the UK.
Salford Type Foundry (STF) has been developed by the University’s Graphic Design students and lecturer Tim Isherwood to provide a home initially for Salford student fonts, with students designing and building the Foundry’s website at www.salfordtypefoundry.co.uk to promote their work to the creative industries and beyond.

Type experiment I did a while ago. Playing with a kind of division and a slant to show some pressure and movement against the type. I quite like how it resembles the number 7 too. It could work for a footballer who wears number 7 for example. David Beckham springs to mind, especially with all the World Cup '98 stuff.
