Clint Miceli was killed this past week while riding up LaSalle Street. An SUV driver opened his door into the bike lane. Miceli "struck the SUV's door, flew off his bike and was run over by a passing vehicle that eventually stopped, police said. He suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead Monday night at Northwestern Memorial Hospital." (from the Chicago Tribune)
Clint's mom of Chicago Drivers:
"They're not sensitive to bikers," she said of Chicago drivers. "Bikers are an annoyance to them."
I didn't know Clint, but this one really hit close to home. He was just a few years younger than me and was also a graphic designer here in Chicago.
When opening car doors, check your mirror for oncoming bicyclists. They share the same rights to the road as cars. Please be aware of your surroundings.
My thoughts are with the Miceli family.

The long-tailed widowbird is a medium-sized bird and one of the most common in the territories it inhabits.
When flying, male long-tailed widowbirds are readily visible due to their extremely long tails. Between six and eight of their twelve tail feathers are approximately half a metre (approximately 20 inches) long. The tail during flight display is expanded vertically into a deep, long keel below the male as he flies with slow wingbeats 0.5 to 2 metres (20 to 78 inches) above his territory.

My name is Melissa, I am a #GraphicDesigner, #photographer and all round #artist. I love doing all of these things but i am not a master at any (I am trying to be) This project is came from @sealemon October Doodle Challenge which is based on #Halloween elements. So for my background I have Day 12: Frankenstein, Day13: Candle Day, 14: Candy Apple, Day 15: Jack O Lantern promps. For my subject I used a pair of awesome boots my bf bought for me ( i LOVE THEM).
I feel like i should do more like this…. until next time…. keep watching this space

PETER SAVILLE: is an internationally renowned graphic designer and art director. He first made his mark as a graphic artist designing record sleeves for Manchester based Factory Records, which he co-founded in 1978 alongside Tony Wilson and Alan Erasmus. Born in Hope Hospital, Salford in 1955, Peter spent his formative years living in Hale. Amongst others, he designed the record sleeve artwork for many of the Factory artists, most notably for Joy Division and New Order, as well as being responsible for the poster design for the Hacienda (FAC 51). Saville's trademark yellow and black striped design has become the unofficial civic colours of Manchester. Peter received a CBE in the Queen’s 2020 New Year Honours list.
GREATER MANCUNIANS is a Manchester College student led landmark photography project (supported by Manchester City Council). It features those people born, bred, or who have made their home within the current Greater Manchester boundary and who have in some way culturally shaped the city and its surrounding boroughs.
The project will be published and exhibited in a major city centre exhibition in 2021/22.

Himalayan ibex (Capra ibex sibirica) range is spread across the mountains of Pakistan, China, India, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Russia and Tajikistan (Shackleton, 1997). This species is listed as the least concerned and gets limited attention hence its unaware population trends throughout its distribution range cannot rightly define the status (IUCN, 2012).
