Bobby Martin, Larry Graham and Prince are active Jehovah's Witnesses. But what most people don't realize, is that Bobby Martin and Larry Graham worked together, and they've produced music together. Bobby Martin was good friends with Larry Graham back in the days when Larry Graham was with Sly & The Family Stone. In the late 1970's Bobby Martin and Larry Graham even had the same manager. This shouldn't surprise any of us Funk lovers, or R&B lovers. The Grammy Award Winning Granddaddy of R&B Bobby Martin has produced some of the funkiest material ever. Bobby Martin is known for his funky Philly Soul and R&B classics, yet he produces and arranges many different styles of music. The MFSB was pretty funky, and almost reminded you of the James Brown band, even though Bobby Martin was more R&B. And then Don Cornelius raved over Bobby Martins arrangement of TSOP (The Soul Train Theme Song), but Don Cornelius liked L.T.D. even better. Which lead to Bobby Martin and Don Cornelius working in the studio together on some of Don Cornelius's own projects at A&M records. And Bobby Martin eventually won a Grammy Award for TSOP. As far as this project is concerned, Larry Graham and Bobby Martin did an excellent job on the album "Star Walk" in 1979. The Warner Bros. logo is on the actual album, as well as the Bobby Martin Productions logo. And only one year after this album was released, Bobby Martin presented a song to Larry Graham for him to sing. The name of the song was "One In A Million You". It wound up being Larry Grahams biggest hit song! And that was when the "Graham Daddy" and Granddaddy of R&B hit a grand slam run together! Prince, or The Artist Formerly Known As Prince caught that ball in the stadium. Now we need all three of them to bring back the funk.

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT (USA) Twenty years ago, Arrested Development rose high above the gangsta-dominated world of hip-hop as a band with a social conscience. Their music brimmed with defiant lyrics of hope and their actions matched their words. After winning the best rap single Grammy in 1993 for its anthemic prayer-like hit Tennessee, Arrested Development donated sales profits to Nelson Mandela and the ANC. The single Mr Wendal highlighted homelessness, and the group donated half its royalty earnings to the National Coalition of the Homeless. It bolstered the group’s popularity and the album 3 Years, 5 Months and Two Days In The Life Of selling more than four million copies, but when a new wave of negative hip hop artists, demeaning women, glorifying drugs and promoting criminality excited the corporate record companies, Arrested Development took a break. A new line-up reemerged in 2000, and has been continually touring, although in 2010, the spiritual guru of the band, Baba OJ, suffered a major stroke and is still undergoing rehabilitation. Founding member and front man Speech is now working with producer and hit maker Kevin “Khao” Cates (best known for his work with Jay-Z, R.Kelly, Snoop Dog) to prepare new music, loaded with powerful lyrics and pulsating grooves.

Bobby Martin went live on the news the morning after the Grammy Awards to talk about Whitney Houston and her mother Cissy Houston. He said that he can recall how full of life she was when she was singing in the recording studio. Bobby Martin, Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff recorded an album on Cissy Houston at Philadelphia International Records in Philadelphia. Bobby Martin and Bobby Martin Productions were a big aid to Whitney Houston and her success on her album Whitney. Bobby Martin speaks out about Whitney Houston and her talent that lives on, as well as how Clive Davis and Whitney were so close. Bobby Martin had a close relationship with Clive Davis and Kenny Gamble since the 1960's. Producer Bobby Martin will always remember the legendary Whitney Houston (The Queen of Pop). You can check out the video clip of Bobby Martin on the news if you search online for GRAMMY WINNING PRODUCER ON WHITNEY HOUSTON.

The crowd went wild outside of Geno's Steaks! A large line of Philly neighbors and tourists gathered around Geno's Steaks in hopes to get an autographed picture of producer Bobby Martin! Somebody posted on Twitter and Facebook that Bobby Martin was back in town. Most food lovers in Philadelphia have tasted Geno's famous steak sandwiches (Cheesesteaks). Geno's is located on 1219 South 9th Street in Philadelphia. The owners of Geno's remember Bobby Martin from the 1970's. They recall seeing Bobby Martin win the Grammy Award for TSOP (T.S.O.P. The Sound of Philadelphia)! Bobby Martin worked at Philadelphia International Records with producers Gamble and Huff. Bobby Martin has been producing hit records out of Philadelphia since the late 1950s. Singers like Patti LaBelle, Lou Rawls, Michael Jackson and The O' Jays. From the Bee Gees to L.T.D. and Tavares, and the list of gold and platinum hits goes on and on. My favorite Bobby Martin song is Me And Mrs. Jones! Bobby Martin lives in Beverly Hills and has a fan base in Hollywood California, along with Justin Bieber and The Kardashians. Yet Bobby Martin says that he will always be Philadelphia Bobby Martin or Bobby Martin from Philadelphia, no matter where he lives. He says that this is memory lane, all good memories. Bobby Martin says that he really loves Philadelphia, and he loves his brothers Gamble & Huff.

Larry Graham is accomplished musician and song writer. He built his reputation based on his unique style playing bass in the highly successful funk rock band Sly & the Family Stone from 1967 to 1972. He pioneered the art of slap-pop playing on the electric bass, a style that later became a major influence on modern funk music. When the Family Stone disintegrated due to lead singer Sly Stone’s drug problems, he formed his own band, Graham Central Station. His group had several hits in the 1970s, including “Hair.” In 1975, Graham became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Producer Bobby Martin became a Jehovah's Witness a year later. Graham produced an album with Bobby Martin in 1979. The name of the album is "Star Walk", with Graham Central Station. His biggest hit was “One in a Million You”, a cross over hit, which reached number 9 on the Billboard chart in 1980. Bobby Martin suggested that he sing "One in a Million You", something in a different style, and it obviously went over very well. In 1998, he recorded another solo album called “GCS 2000,” which was a collaboration with Prince. Graham wrote all the songs except one that was co-written by Prince. The album was co-arranged and co-produced by Prince, and most of the instruments and vocals were recorded by both Graham and Prince. He later toured with Prince as his bassist in 1997-2000 and appeared in Prince’s 1998 video Beautiful Strange and Prince’s 1999 DVD Rave in the Year 2000. It’s been reported that Mr. Graham was instrumental in guiding Prince to become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Producer Arranger Bobby Martin is there with Hip Hop Producer Dr. Dre in this photo. Bobby martin is the legendary producer/arranger/composer that produced and arranged all of the top classic soul hits and of all the best R&B old school jams back in the day! Bobby Martins discography of gold and gold platinum recording awards is too long to list in one article, he's produced or recorded nearly everybody! And Dr. Dre is an expert hip hop music producer that's possibly had the greatest success and track record in the music industry as a hip hop and modern R&B producer. We see two legends standing next to one another in this photo, Bobby Martin is there signing autographs for the fans. He was very surprised to see Dr. Dre standing right in front of him. Some people say that Dr. Dre is the Bobby Martin of the 21st century. Dr. Dre is a master producer of his generation, and he's still recognized for being the best hip hop producer in the world amongst younger generations today! Everyone is familiar with the songs that Dr. Dre has produced. Bobby Martin is a legendary Grammy award winning producer and founder of R&B music! He produced and arranged songs like; "Me and Mrs. Jones", "Kiss And Say Goodbye", "If You Don't Know Me By Now", "For The Love Of Money" ("Money" "Money" "Money" "Money"), and literally hundreds of hit songs that all reached the top of the charts. Back in the day Bobby Martin was one of the top soul producers in the world. They once again honored Bobby Martin as being an icon and mentor to so many younger musicians. Producer Bobby Martin even went up on stage and entertained the crowd for a short while! So many Bobby Martin fans commend him for his accomplishments and for giving us all such great songs that give us such happy memories. You have to go back in your mind and try to remember those good old happy days. It seemed like All you would hear on the radio was Bobby Martins music all throughout the 60's, but mainly throughout the 70's and 80's. You can hear samples and new versions of Bobby Martins Music on the radio today. Bobby Martin says that he is still very active in the music business today, he also mentioned in an interview that he'll never stop composing and arranging great music.
