This is for Nigel who I know likes a bit of grain in his pictures so I thought I'd oblige him. You're welcome!

Even through the mist, there is still so much color information I could get from the woods in RAW format. With a little bit enhancement of vibrancy and saturation, I see these two trees - the Evergreen Furs and the Red Hairs dancing and shooting their magic powers to each other - a magic forest! With some exploration, I decided to increase the grains and crop the originally portrait image to the landscape at screen size 16:9 so that the grains are visible - making it like a work of embroidery.

Some M&M's for MM ;-) A quick capture from today. Got home late yesterday, and the living room was filled with sunshine - which is nice, but it gave me rather harsh shadows. Made a new attempt a little later with light from my DIY softbox, but still got shadows, and the light was too yellow-ish for my taste. So I decided to give it another try today, with natural daylight (and no sunshine in the room, yet). Set ISO to 250, because I took the capture handheld. It's a little noisy and grainy, so I cleaned the background in Dfine (and brightened it a little in Viveza). Well, life is noisy and grainy sometimes, isn't it? Oh, and there is a word "hidden" here...
A Happy Macro Monday, Everyone!

went to the fotomuseum in den Haag and to the Museon , a lot to see, and Barb was finding a silence place to rest ;D ( low light )
One of the doors in my house, which had a paint stripping treatment to remove 50+ years and umpteen layers of paint from it. Once we saw how lovely and characterful it was underneath, we left it as it was.
Shot at 34mm, F2.8, 200 ISO inside an old historic building where I spent the night while exploring modernist art.
Actually I considered deleting this photo because it is so grainy and we have more detailed ones. But Joe said I should keep and post it anyway because we both liked the water-color bokeh and the atmosphere of the photo :-)
