Each facade has a vellum-printed photo of hers, and a quote from her obituary with its annotated source material.
In case anyone wants to try something like this at home (because you are crazy), I:
1. printed her photos and the accompanying overlay text on text-weight vellum, which I bought at Kate's Paperie.
2. I created a wire frame with 1/16th gage armature wire, enforced with a lighter craft wire, to the measurements of my photos (8 1/2 x 11).
3. To create the paper box, I taped the two "long" sides from the inside to the "top" side, making sure I'd done a nice neat seam. Then I attached one "short" side to one of the long sides, and the other short side to the other long side. I could then join them (carefully) from the inside, also with invisible tape.
4. I slid the open-bottomed paper box over its frame, and bent the frame a little so it fit into place, and then taped the sides in.
For the light fixture, I affixed a bulb to a socket-outlet cord and taped that down to a piece of cardboard, smaller than my frame (about 7 x 9). This way I can just pop the box into place when I get to class.
