So...I'm sitting in room 131 with a few other LEEPers, trying to write these dang final essays...and I get a new email in my inbox...with the subject line:
"ALA 2009 - Galaxy Press photo"
And I think, "Oh my gosh, this is probably my pirate photo!" When I went to the ALA conference, I was wandering around wide-eyed and this man came up to me and said, "Have you had your picture taken with a pirate today?" Well, no, actually I haven't, I replied.
He then told the woman in the pirate costume that I "really wanted my picture taken with her." False.
Then put a pirate hat on me. Really?
Anyway, I forgot about it until this picture just appeared attached to aforementioned email...and, Jennifer, who is in here with me, started freaking out because apparently the author of the book being displayed is the founder of Scientology.
Incredible.
