The Netherlands Government Fokker F70 about to land on Schiphol Airports Zwanenburgbaan

Excerpt from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Government_Complex_(Hong_Kong):

The Central Government Complex has been the headquarters of the Government of Hong Kong since 2011. Located at the Tamar site, the complex comprises the Central Government Offices, the Legislative Council Complex and the Office of the Chief Executive of Hong Kong. The complex has taken over the roles of several buildings, including the former Central Government Offices (CGO), Murray Building and the former Legislative Council Building.

The architect was Rocco Yim, who premised the massing on the concept of "door always open". The new government building uses neither Chinese nor European government building designs, but instead it is a mix of postmodern architecture and low-frills international design. The building initially had an open design, but has been heavily fortified after various protests.

The complex was originally designed by Yim under the concept of "Door Always Open", symbolising the pride that Hong Kong holds in its "openness and transparency of governance". In keeping with this theme, the complex was meant to be accessible to the public and integrated with the surrounding urban context, and incorporates a range of public spaces. Tamar Park passes through the complex, leading to the waterfront promenade on Victoria Harbour.

The Civic Square in front of the complex's East Wing has been blocked off from public access with a permanent fence.

The Bugatti Type 51 series succeeded the famous Type 35 as Bugatti's premier racing car for the 1930s. Unlike the dominant Type 35s of the prior decade, the Type 51 (and later Type 53, Type 54, and Type 59) were unable to compete with the government-supported German and Italian offerings. This 1931 Bugatti Type 51 is seen at Prescott Speed Hill Climb.

Berlin's Reichstag building. Looking down from the dome through the glass-panelled roof of the government chambers - the Bundestag - where the elected representatives are visible to all .Apparently this design feature was a deliberate architectural metaphor for a visible and accountable government in a new Germany after unification.

I am so sick and tired of the supposed inconsistencies and lies around the downing of MH17. What if the western allies did it themselves through their proxy Ukraine? Will we ever know? And if we ever get to know the truth, how will we proceed from there with those lying governments?

The Neville Bonner Building on William Street was named after Senator Neville Bonner (1922–1999), the first Indigenous Australian to be elected to the Federal Parliament.

The building of the Riverside Expressway in the 1970s divorced the land and government buildings along William Street from the Brisbane River. Completed in December 1998, the Neville Bonner Building was the first major government building constructed in what had become an unused area.

The building’s architects, Davenport Campbell with Donovan Hill and Powell Dods Thorpe, had to manage a challenging site, bounded on two sides by the Riverside Expressway and the Margaret Street off ramp, with their attendant noise and fumes. On the upstream side was the former Department of Agriculture and Stock (later DPI) building, which had opened in 1866 as an Immigration Depot. To contend with also was a drop of nine metres between William Street and Queen’s Wharf Road.

At the time of its construction, the Neville Bonner Building was considered to be architecturally intelligent and original, with its related spaces establishing new and demanding standards for future government developments. The architects collaborated with artists Barbara Heath, Ron Hurley, Gwyn Hanssen Pigott and Yenda Carson so that pieces of their art could be included in and around the building. The most visible of these is The Net by Barbara Heath. It hangs outside the entrance and references related themes of the area’s original Indigenous inhabitants, including connections between the land and river, and their associated fishing practices. Hence the idea of a net.

Writing for Architecture Australia, Professor Michael Keniger (then head of the Department of Architecture at the University of Queensland) noted that, ‘The simplicity of the planning is masked by the complexity and staccato tactility of the elevations, which are enlivened by an interplay between the inner layer of glass cladding and suspended external screens of precast concrete panels and metal mesh blades’. Not everyone agreed. Jim Soorley, then Brisbane’s Lord Mayor, described it as ‘ugly’.

The building, however, won two architectural awards for design:

• The RAIA (National) Commercial Award 1999 and the

• RAIA (Queensland) F.D.G Stanley Award & Regional Commendation 1999.

At a cultural closing ceremony held in the building in August 2016 it was announced that the yet-to-be-constructed bridge between Queen’s Wharf and Southbank would be named the Neville Bonner Bridge. The artwork from the building will be distributed between Parliament House and 1 William Street.

"The demonstration of the students on March 13, with which they demanded freedom of speech, teaching, and learning, was the starting note for the revolutionary events of 1848. From then on, the “Academic legion”, an armed formation of students, was at the forefront of all revolutionary actions. When the government resolved to dissolve the Legion, the students, supported by workers from the periphery, erected roughly 160 barricades in Vienna’s city centre from 26 to 28 May, with which they forced the government to repeal the decree." sammlung.wienmuseum.at/en/album/a2ciemencqh4v4gpf-barrica...

This grand Edwardian complex was among the last major projects completed by the British in Ireland, opening in 1911 as the Royal College of Science. After the college relocated in 1989, Taoiseach Charles Haughey relocated the Irish government there, investing heavily in renovations. Today, the building serves as both a symbol of state power and a reminder of Dublin's layered history — a monumental Edwardian design repurposed for modern politics.
