Despite this shot, Bonnie doesn't always sleep in one corner now - at the moment, she's stretched out down the middle of the bed.
Two weeks on, and although she still looks for her brother Clyde sometimes, she is getting better. She's also very demanding about play time and coming in to be with us.. the headbanging at the door starts at around 730 a.m.

Made it a little further around the village today - and saw that the post box has moved and that it's one of the new ones for Charles III.

Taken on a very short walk outside the house today, having an osteoarthritis flare in my hip and very painful at the moment. But at least I got out!

Still trying to decide whether these are Spanish or not. If they are, I see we're advised to remove them.
The joys of moving into someone else's house - you never know what's going to come up.

Full disclosure - this a a repost from my Instagram account. I've learned over the years with Google Pixel phones that images are analyzed by Google AI and sent back to you as their interpretation of your photo. Also, they will send back suggested animations and panoramas. I have found the panorama setting in the camera/phone to be less than acceptable at times, so I will take a traditional batch of images and stich them in other software. Or, I do this now and just wait about 30-minutes for Google AI to analyze and send back to me. This is one of those examples. I took about 5-6 shots horizontal, went in the house for dinner and before dinner was over, voila!
Seen on my walk into the village to get covid vaccination no. 10.
It was either this or a picture of a pothole - they've actually numbered them and from the main road entering the village to the crossroads to enter the centre of the village, there are 71 in less than half a mile. However, the pictures weren't as pretty!

My hunch paid off as this structure was completely torn down. I've been photographing the back of the building, as the front faces a police station, and not many people understand why I photograph construction. Several times I've been asked if I was an insurance surveyor. That one makes sense, as many times I'm dressed from work. No, just a hobbyist photographer. Essentially it's my documenting the pre/post gentrification of my neighborhood

I love a good steak and this one from Whispering Meadows was really good! I seasoned it with a bit of Montreal Steak Spice and cooked it to a perfect medium-rare on an indoor electric grill. It was tender, juicy, and delicious!
Everything I've had from Whispering Meadows has been excellent quality! Give them a try - www.whisperingmeadows.ca

April 2023, a picture a day for a month: day 28 and extending my walk a little further by going out of the village on the one flat road!

The fields around my village are named after former colonies of the UK.
This pond is the remains of a former quarry, and apart from the sheep is also home to either badgers or foxes. Last year it was a family of foxes, this year it looks as though the badgers are back from the tunnelling that's been going on on the verge of the road.
