A beautifully restored 1917 Ford Model T delivery truck on California Highway 49 works as a sign for the Goodyears Bar Schoolhouse Museum in Goodyears Bar California, a small unincorporated community by the North Yuba River just outside of Downieville. That day it was also adorned with signage of the nuptials of my damsel’s niece and her beau which we were attending. The 1917 Ford Model T with a C cab body with the vintage Coca Cola signage restored, featuring wooden spoked rims, a wooden cab body is very significant as Ford’s Model T was the first mass produced car starting in 1908 in the United States. Goodyear, Zeppelin
Die Nachfrage ist groß, deswegen gibt es jetzt „Nachwuchs“: Ein neuer Zeppelin startet künftig in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Und auch am Heimat-Standort Friedrichshafen tut sich etwas.
Ein Mal mit einem Zeppelin fahren! Diesen Wunsch haben scheinbar viele Menschen, denn die Deutsche Zeppelin–Reederei GmbH (DZR) erweitert jetzt ihr Angebot. Künftig steht dauerhaft am Flughafen Essen/Mühlheim ein Zeppelin – am Luftschiff- und Event-Hangar der Westdeutsche Luftwerbung Theodor Wüllenkemper GmbH & Co. KG (WDL). Die Nachfrage nach Rundflügen sei in den vergangen Jahren enorm gestiegen.

The Goodyears Bar Bridge spanning the North Fork of the Yuba River leading into the unincorporated community with a population of 69 of Goodyears Bar in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Sierra County California. We attended a delightful and eclectic wedding of my sweet damsel’s lovely niece and her beau this past weekend and while walking down to the venue, I snaped this image of the bridge. The water of the Yuba River originates from the snow & ice melt from the Sierra Nevada’s and is so clear that upon careful inspection of my image you can see the bottom. Goodyears Bar is named after pioneers Miles & Andrew Goodyear who in 1849 with their party prospected and settled here. OM Systems Olympus OM-D EM-1 Mark III Olympus M. The Goodyear Blimp "Spirit of Innovation" had a stop-over. Standing under it - it is impressive! Stats for the Blimp: 192 feet long, 59.5 feet tall and 50 feet wide!
The North Fork of the Yuba River just south of Goodyears Bar. Gold was discovered here in 1849. Looks there is another kind of gold here as well.

The Goodyear blimp floating above Frankfurt's skyline last Friday. One thing I love about apartment is the possibility to go all the way to the top floor and enjoy the view from there. I really wouldn't mind a top floor apartment there, but it would cost much more Ari-seconds than we have at hand.

An old, yet still very active, tire store and garage, serving a local square - Union Square. Goodyear is one of the most quintessential American companies there is, that big blue and yellow sign can be found in almost any corner of the States, whether in a small town, or in a crowded metropolis like here. Given how much construction there is in the city, and how bad the roads are here, I'm sure they have plenty to keep them busy!
