Umpteenth time reading it. (well....third at any rate)
Just took a notion, and thinking about it I wonder if it's connected to the fact I've just read "Middlesex" which sorta kinda vaguely deals with similar themes but in a VERY different manner and with a lot less bloodshed by the protagonist.
The Wasp Factory is also a lot funnier. In fact I reckon that for all the blood shed by the innocent within the pages it's still one of the funniest things he's written.
