I finally got my copy of American Murder Houses in the mail yesterday! Not only is it an interesting read, but the author used a picture that I took of the Gardette-LaPrete house in New Orleans in the book! SO, that makes it extra special to me! :)

Deception is a modern epidemic, a disease that has been festering in the hearts of mankind since the dawn of time. We deceive our bosses, those in authority and loved ones as a course of habit. But sometimes the most harmful deceptions are those we play on ourselves. Deluded in Love is a nail-biting and tragic tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat to the very last page. Suzanne Sinclair is a single parent and up-and-coming celebrity who is plagued by traumatic memories of her abusive past. When she meets Carlton Patrick, an ex-convict, she’s drawn into a world where, deluded in love, she exposes herself to deceit, betrayal and ultimately, murder. Suzanne reminds us we must be careful what we wish for, because we might just get it.

2/18/2014: I'm beginning to really rely on Good Reads for book research. Most of the books I'm reading right now (fluffy romance ^_^;) are part of series and I like how Good Reads has the series called out in order. Piggie agrees that it's a good thing; one would hate to read a series out of order.

Dimana ada kutubuku, disitu ada kutukutubuku.com

Hosted by Goodreads Indonesia at Pasar Festival, Kuningan. Great event, me, Nulisbuku.com and other writers + book lovers are having a great time!

I joined Goodreads, it's a pretty cool website to keep track of your books, read and write reviews, and get recommendations on new books. After putting my books in to my list I discovered that I have 56 unread books on my shelf. It's hard picking which one to read next.

I found this book for my research on culture wars but it does not deal with the culture wars at all. It was good though

So, this is a paper that my brother wrote in the Spring of 2000, during the month of April (and earlier), during his last semester of college. This paper was finished the night his daughter was born. (It had to be done.) He gave it to me to read.

It's entitled "E Pluribus, Pauci: A Documentary Historical Case-Study of The St. Albans Public Education System." It should be interesting.

He also gave me a book to read that may be useful for next year When Kids Can't Read: What Teachers Can Do by Kylene Beers

Random Fact: The name Kylene Beers makes me giggle.

I Learned Something Today: In Latin "pauci" means "few". So my brother's paper is entitled, Out of Many, Few.
