Ihm wird auch nachgesagt, dass er Kranke heilt, wenn er ihnen zufliegt. Unter den vielen Arten ist der Siebenpunkt-Marienkäfer, also der rote mit sieben Punkten, der meistverbreitete in unseren Breitengraden. Aufgrund dieser magischen Glückszahl (7) ist dies ein weiterer Grund, ihn als Glücksbringer zu sehen.
The ladybug is in Germany also known as beetle of luck and has been a symbol of luck since the Middle Ages. The beetle of luck is also said to heal the sick when he flies to them. Among the many species is the seven-point ladybug, i.e. the red one with seven dots, the most common in our latitudes. Because of this magical lucky number (7), this is another reason to see him as a lucky charm.

1000 Cranes is inspired by an ancient Japanese legend: if a group of 1000 origami cranes (known in Japanese as senbazuru) are hung in one’s home it will act as a powerful and benevolent charm and bring good luck.
Most visitors quickly bypass rushes and grasses in the Hortus. But insects are less picky. For example, you'll see Hoverflies if you're patient, and I saw this pretty Seven-spot Ladybird. Here it's on Soft Rush; the Latin word 'Juncus' indicates that this rush was once used for (basket) weaving. Ladybirds like hunting for Aphids, but that may be in vain here. I for one haven't seen any on this Rush. Ladybirds are said to be harbingers of good luck... Perhaps also for its hunting here.
The (wooden) ladybug has been put on a mirror. Then I used a kaleidoscope in front of my camera and... here is the result! ;-)

@I went to a handcraft market last sunday and found this little toy of my childwood. Good memories come to my mind. hope it can bring you good memories also
Troll dolls, originally known as Leprocauns and also known as Dam dolls, Gonks, Wishniks, Treasure Trolls, and Norfins, became one of America's biggest toy fads from the autumn of 1963 through 1965. Our Daily Challenge: Beneficial Moments
This handsome male cardinal surveying the area from an upper tree branch appears conspicuous but can quickly disappear in the dense tangles of undergrowth he prefers. Territorial and often aggressive, this one seems to be more curious. Considered a harbinger of good luck or good omen in many cultures.
Thought we'd make a school girl themed photo in regards to school finally almost being done! Congratulations to the upcoming graduates this year and goodluck to the soon to be graduates lol. WORK HARD \o/
Lala Bubbles gave me some more four leaf clovers and then this little gem popped up in the archive. Seems I'm in there a lot these days! Always looking for something and always find something else. Good luck out there everyone. I do believe I am very lucky and am very grateful for it.
These last two nights, the cloudy skies did not allow me to admire the glowing northern lights caused by the geomagnetic storm. It would have been my first time, but it was not possible. This photo is inspired by the colors of the Aurora Borealis. A good luck pendant of the Seven Chakra healing stones that is my amulet for my walks in the parks. The leather cord that holds it doesn't burn my neck like silver and gold does on hot days. For this photo I placed it over an iridescent paper.
