Bellissimo borgo medievale in provincia di Messina, situato su un monte, a circa 420 metri s.l. del mare; in una posizione dominante sul panorama circostante , che spazia dalla vicina Taormina , con l'Etna sullo sfondo, alla piu' lontana Calabria.
La foto ritrae la chiesa della SS. Trinita', risalente al XV sec. , con annesso nel lato destro il Convento agostiniano,dotato di un bellissimo chiostro che ha fatto , tra l'altro da location , assieme ad altri monumenti del paese, a numerose scene della serie cinematografica "Il Padrino".
Visitare questo antichissimo borgo, per noi siciliani e non solo, è motivo per gustare, al contempo, le prelibatezze della cucina tipica a base di pesce, trascorrendo qualche ora lontano dal caos quotidiano.
