Have you ever had any of your playing companions tell you that your swing path is off? In this video, Dr. Eric Wilson, PGA Legacy Master Professional and Executive Director of Golf Operations for Keiser University College of Golf shows you some golf positions to improve your swing path. "Number one, you have to understand what the swing path should be looking like and how it approaches the golf ball. The path is that direction the club travels"

Video taping Bob Miegl practicing his golf swing at the Coronado Golf Course so he can review it and improve his golf swing.
Total commitment. Total focus. That's what golf asks of us, at any level.
Some may wonder, is it worth stripping down to try and hit one out of a hazard when there are no TV cameras, no prize money - only a possible viral video on social media if one of your buddies is filming. Is it really worth it?
All you are thinking about is the shot, and trying to block out the potential pitfalls. Sure you think about risk v. reward, but once you commit, its all about the shot. Your objective. Everything else, modesty or any inferiority complexes can be forgotten, if only for a moment.
When it works, it is a great feeling. Pulling off a shot that even the best would not only admire, but might not even match. That is what makes golf so different than any other sport. You can call it luck, but its not just luck when you pull off a great shot. There is more to it when it's golf.
And when you leave it in the creek, or completely whiff or when you hit the ball so solidly into soft mud that you can't find the ball, at least you can say you tried. You committed and played the game the way it is supposed to be played.
And as you put your socks back on with a few chunks of mud stuck somewhere on you, you have to smile and know your playing partners respect your commitment to the game. You walk taller and will probably make a long putt later in the round or the next round. Your commitment is rewarded.
And as golfers, isn't there an underlying element of exhibitionism in every shot? Play well!

Hi, this is David Wixson I’m a PGA Master Professional here at Keiser University College Of Golf today we're out here at our outdoor training area our practice facility here on campus and one of the things I wanted to talk about today is a mental game class that we teach here at the College Of Golf and specifically the concept of having a commitment line when you are practicing. I’ve got a student here with me and behind the golf ball in the planning area or what we call the analysis area the player is going to determine what type of shot that do they want to hit what club are they going to use what type of shot shape are they going to use what type of trajectory they're going to make.

Taylormade in 2012 is all about tuning and speed. Improved aerodynamics, hotter faces, improved ball speed.
The flagship of TMAG (Taylormade Adidas Golf) is the R11 line. The R11 was the most successful launch in the modern golf era. The new R11s Driver and fairway metals is a step up from it's predecessor, which from all the tour success, (Luke Donald, Darren Clarke) and record sales is a pretty difficult feat.
TMAG is very much the leader is custom driver and woods fitting, evident by the new R11S with it's added adjustability, innovative crown design and improved aerodynamics.
At 460cc, the R11S is similar to the original R11, the new R11S features a flat-white crown color and black PVD face to improve alignment and accuracy off the tee. TMAG says the white crown color makes it appear even larger (2%) and adds an advantage given that TaylorMade testing indicates that the majority of golfers gain confidence at address from a head that appears large relative to the ball.
Figuring out where to play a golf ball that has fallen onto a cart path can be a little more tricky than people think. In this video, Brian Hughes demonstrates how to determine where you should be playing from when dealing with an abnormal course condition on the golf course.

Every player that I talked to all week, even prior to the start of the championship, said the same thing to me, "The course looks perfect, I hope I make some putts."
The secret that so many good players know is that when scoring conditions are ideal, when the wind is calm, the conditions are soft and the greens are fast and smooth; you don't have to be the best ball striker, you don't have to be the most accurate off the tee or from the fairway, you're going to need to make putts.
This past week here at the 44th PGA Professional National Championship, we were fortunate to have great weather and conditions that we knew would reward great golf play with great scoring opportunities. And when you have this much golf talent in one event and conditions like we've had, you're going to see some outstanding scores.
The three things I noticed among the players who had great success this week were:
1.) Get comfortable with the speed: When you know the putts are going to roll true, the biggest advantage is going to go with the player who is able to take aggressive but reasonable attempts at the hole. Avoiding three putts is still important, but feel like you have a chance to make every putt.
2.) Play a little more break: Spend time trying different putting lines on practice greens and get a sense of how much break you're going to have to play on each putt. The better players may take a number of putts at the same hole but trying a variety of routes to get there. And remember, it's not just making the putt, but making sure you don't leave yourself too tough a second putt if you don't make it.
3.) Finally, expect your opponent to make their share of putts. Good players tend to feed off other good play. People are going to make putts on great greens, use that as your inspiration to make your share. Too often, I see players get frustrated because their opponent nails a long one early in the round. All that means is, you can too!
It was a great week here at Hershey Country Club and the 44th PGA Professional National Championship. The PGA of America, the volunteers, the fans and the players were tremendous to be around, I hope they all come back. And I hope that you were able to watch and enjoy the stellar play - and hopefully, learn a little something that will help you in your game as well.
