Amazing how sunlight affects our moods!
Here the sun is setting at Sunken Meadow, Cape Cod, about 3 weeks ago.

The last time I was here before my recent trip to Spirit Island, I was 6 years old. I asked my Dad to dig out some photos, and he kindly spent a significant amount of time finding a few for me 😁💛... ,one of which I was standing at this exact spot. I thought about posting it here but not sure how, the photo is not great quality anyway, lol. Isn't it so strange to look back at old photos and try to remember those moments from so many years ago...the boat in the photo are the same ones used from when I was here when I was 6 . I couldn't believe it! ....some 30++++ years ago! hahahaha
I actually had asked a Park employee if you could hike to the island, he said you could but it's over 17 km and there is no path! lol ..so boat it is!
A magical place, it was so good to see again!🙏😊✨💛

My beautiful niece in the photo at 15 years old. (taken this past September)
I tried to recreate the photo (same place) I took on my old iPhone in 2016, (link below if you are interested)....It ended up being too different than I would have liked to the original, however, I wanted it to be as natural as possible. I still like what the photo conveys to me and how she has changed as person 5 years later with her walking towards her future. The photo from 2016 was in the moment natural shot whereas I tried to do same but knew what I was aiming for this time, obviously. ☺️
My niece is a remarkable young lady, the sweetest, kindest soul, so caring and looks for the good in everyone. She is a great athlete, with a passion for running and cycling. She definitely inspires me.💛
Her longest bicycle ride was 160km at 14 years old. And she tends to run like Forest Gump,.. lol.. 👏🙌💛🚴🏃♀️

I picked this photo to end the series since it's taken from a spot where my family had a dinner picnic. The sun was starting to go down after a nice hike in Kananaskis Country. 💛...those golden moments.
Two days ago about half an hour before sunset on the Moselle.
While the autumn colors are still a bit reserved here (there was no frost yet), the poplars on the banks of the Moselle near Schweich shine in a magnificent yellow.
Vor zwei Tagen ca. eine halbe Stunde vor Sonnenuntergang an der Mosel.
Während sich die Herbstfarben bei uns noch etwas zurückhalten (es gab noch keinen Frost), leuchten die Pappeln am Moselufer bei Schweich in prächtigem gelb.
From my visit to Great Meadows in Concord,
I was walking along the trail, when I happened to see the descending sun reflecting in pools from the melting snow. I rushed in there and got a couple of photos of what looked liked king Midas had come by!
The surfers and ship seem to be illuminated with a momentary golden glow, as a storm rages out at sea. Or could that ship actually be The Beatles' Yellow Submarine?
Golden hues, a masterpiece in whole,
Painted skies, a tranquil, fiery scroll.
Nature’s brushstroke, vivid and untold,
A fleeting wonder, a treasure of gold.
The sun sinks low, its journey near done,
Casting its glow on everyone.
Shadows lengthen, they softly creep,
As twilight lulls the world to sleep.
Mountains bask in the amber light,
Fields are kissed by the glow of night.
Rivers shimmer, their currents ablaze,
Reflecting the heavens in a fiery haze.
The trees stand still, their silhouettes clear,
Bathed in warmth as the end draws near.
Birdsong fades, replaced by calm,
A hush that feels like nature's psalm.
Golden hour, brief and rare,
A sacred gift for those who care.
To pause, to watch, to truly see,
The magic of life, so wild and free.
And as the sun slips out of view,
Night emerges, cloaked in dew.
But the memory lingers, the moment stays,
A radiant echo of golden days.

I'm in Gryllefjord, a small fishing village in the northern part of the island of Senja. I look at the sea and the sky, a golden bright light shines from there, it is only early evening and I have been traveling all day in this wonderful dream. We have to change our travel plan because we can't drive a big camper from now on to an even narrower scenic road. I'm disappointed for a moment but I think that I've already seen so much of this beautiful island today. Now I sit on a rock, the sea is silent and transfers its peace to my mind. My golden moment.
