Easter is not about a bunny...it's about The Lamb!
While I do not believe that Easter has anything to do with a bunny, I do believe that God sometimes sends me little reminders about life and His bigger story that we are all a part of...
What do I mean by all this...well, here it is...when I first saw this Eastern Cottontail run out from underneath our deck and I ran to get my camera, the plan was to post a bunny photo on Easter (if I got a good one). And, as you can see, I think I got a pretty good photo...BUT...that plan was not fully thought through on my part! Since this happened a few days before Easter, I've had the first sentence of this post banging around in my head and I know it is from God. The second thought that I've had banging around is that while this cottontail is not what Easter is about...it is one of God's creations and is special in its own way as stated in Genesis 1:24 - "
And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so."
Sometimes, God just has to use any and everything to remind me just how much he really is in control..."For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." ~Jeremiah 29:11

Jeremiah 29The Voice (VOICE)
29 The prophet Jeremiah wrote a letter from Jerusalem to the elders, priests, prophets, and all the rest who had been taken to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar. 2 (This was after King Jeconiah of Judah and his mother had been taken into exile, along with servants of the court, officials of Judah and Jerusalem, and many of the craftsmen and artisans.)[a] 3 The letter was hand-carried by Elasah (son of Shaphan) and Gemariah (son of Hilkiah), whom Zedekiah king of Judah dispatched to Babylon on a diplomatic mission to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.
Jeremiah’s Letter: 4 This is what the Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies and God of Israel, says to those He exiled from Jerusalem to Babylon: 5 “Build houses—make homes for your families because you are not coming back to Judah anytime soon. Plant gardens, and eat the food you grow there. 6 Marry and have children; find wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage, so that they can have children. During these years of captivity, let your families grow and not die out. 7 Pursue the peace and welfare of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to Me, the Eternal, for Babylon because if it has peace, you will live in peace.”
8 This is what the Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies and God of Israel, says to you: “Do not be fooled by the false prophets and fortune-tellers among you. Do not listen to dreamers or their interpretations of dreams, 9 for I did not send them to you. They are prophesying lies in My name!” So says the Eternal. 10 If you want the truth, this is what the Eternal has to say: “You will remain in Babylon for 70 years. When that time is over, I will come to you, and I will keep My promise of bringing you back home. 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Eternal, “plans for peace, not evil, to give you a future and hope—never forget that. 12 At that time, you will call out for Me, and I will hear. You will pray, and I will listen. 13 You will look for Me intently, and you will find Me. 14 Yes, I will be found by you,” says the Eternal, “and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations where you’ve been scattered—all the places where I have driven you. I will bring you back to the land that is your rightful home.”
His Holiness Younus AlGohar asks whether God really loves everybody, as some religions suggest. He explains God’s mentality and his plan for different human beings.
Main points:
⁃The knowledge that comes from God is true knowledge, but when knowledge about God is coming through a religion, it is censored. Different religions sent by God all have a different perspective about God because they haven’t been given complete knowledge. True knowledge about God will come from somebody who has seen God, who is able to talk with God. In that friendship, God will reveal the ultimate truth upon him.
⁃We see people suffering, living their life in complete misery. This begs the question: does God love such people? If he did, why are they suffering? According to the Bible and Quran, God is Absolute Power; if so, why doesn’t he help the young children dying of starvation around the world? God does not love everybody; he loves some people and some people were not meant to be loved by God.
⁃God’s love cannot be faked. It is impossible that God loves somebody and they’re not a good man. One who has God’s love cannot be bad; they cannot hate, hurt or harm anybody. They become a divine mirror in which God’s attributes are reflected. Those who God loves will be respected by others who love God.
⁃God created souls for his love and he created other souls who love bad things. If you are bad, it is because God wanted you to be bad. If you are good, it is because God wanted it to be so. As a human being, one cannot overrule God. This is all part of God’s plan.
⁃If you want to love God, you need to approach him through a spiritual master ordained by him. A spiritual master will take your image to the audience of God, and tell him ’This man wants to love you.’ If God does not want to love you, very straightforwardly he says, ‘No. I don’t like him.’ That is the end of the story. You are then rejected by God and cannot be a spiritual man. However if God wants to love you, he will ask, ‘If I grant him my love, who will train him?’ The master says, ‘I will.’ Then God says, ‘Let my name enter his heart.’ Then, God’s name enters the heart and starts to produce divine energy. This is the initial stage of spirituality, and proof that God wants to love you.
⁃In this moment in time, God is not bothered about any religion. He just wants to love those who want to love him. Before human beings find unification, we have to find unification with God. First we get unified with God; then we will unify the entire world.

It was my second day in metro Vancouver. Jeanne Manire took me and her dog out for a walk. I was around 4pm on Jan 2. The sun was beginning to set. I saw speechless. It was my first time seeing such a beautiful senset. For a someone who grew up in the city, I appreciated this sight so much more.
I was close to tears. I was grateful to God for allowing me to set foot on Simon Fraser University. I was in a dreamlike state.
After shelving my dreams (for almost two years) of studying at SFU, I was finally able to breathe, live, touch SFU.
God took me on an incredible journey that led to SFU.

Fran, the new discussion group really came into play today. I didn't make the time for breakfast and was starving by the time lunch rolled around. I was running errands and soup sounded very good today (fighting a cold). I went to Panera's and chose the pick two. I really wanted to add one of the delicious desserts, some lemonade and a bagel..but I HALTed.
Sandwich: Turkey breast, bacon, lettuce, bravo sauce, gouda cheese on tomato basil bread (tomato is a standard but I don't like them..would have been nice for color though, huh?)
Baked potato soup.
Saw this at a 7/11. Just a bunch of bible stuff for the traveling person to try out so they might not go to hell. Or people love the bible soo much that they fill bible crosswords on the jon. Still a better love story than Twilight.

Cut-out digital object collage of a view of my family's dynamics--a draft version I made in response to an exercise for women's Bible study group. I would have added a few things to my pirate-husband's side--including a runner's medal--but started this project too late.
The printer's registration mark represents God's good plan for my life and the labyrinth is my symbol for my faith journey. I don't have 3 children, but didn't have time to cut out and adjust the heights on my typical family as they walk forward on their journey.
