SMALL dumpy wader that is associated with coastal habitats. Feeds by running along sand, gravel or estuarine mud as if powered by clockwork and then standing still for a second, to pick up food from the ground. Seen from the sea wall Reculvers, where their was a flock of about 20.

Legend says that Atlantis city was built by Poseidon, god of sea when he fell in love with a mortal woman Cleito. He made this city on top of a nearby hill and named it Atlantis. It is believed that he walked through these islands until he reached the biggest of them all- Atlantis and found it to be inhabited by people more beautiful and intelligent than rest of the world. It is here he first saw his future wife and fell in love with her.

EXTREMELY VOCAL, and can be a proficient mimic of both animate and inanimate sounds. Love the way a starling walks with characteristic swagger, and the flight is rather undulating and the wings look pointed and triangular in outline. /// SOMETHING out of the norm. for me, but felt it had something of appeal going for it, so have risked posting it, hope you enjoy it.

The "Monolito Fraile", also known as "Estela Fraile" or "God of Water", is is located inside the enclosure of the temple of Kalasasaya and was built by members of the Tiahuanaco culture, pre-Columbian civilization that during its period of greatest expansion comprised almost the entire high plateau known as the Collao Plateau up to the coast of the Pacific Ocean in the west and the Chapare in the east. Its capital and main religious center was the city of Tiwanaku, located on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
