It is hard to grasp the size of our glaciers, even after seeing them.

One of these days where the conditions are too good to stop. Here's Michael Brackenhofer, our lead guide, cranking turns in the alpine as the sun sets.

The skiers and the helicopter give an idea of the size of the mountains, kilometers away in the background.

Breathtaking alpine views, jagged peaks all around; this environment may seem unfriendly to humans. Fortunately, our guides know our tenure well-enough to take our guests down enjoyable and realistic descents within the wild, beautiful Skeena mountain range.

The primary purpose of our expedition is to carry out research on the Klofajökull glacier, which is located in a region that has received very little previous research attention, due to its poor accessibility and harsh climate.

“If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus; and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.”

-Bruce Lee

Second boring try for the "Inner ghosts" set. This is the last shot from my old camera. :-D

Land Rover's 2012 'Go Beyond' Bursary has been awarded to 'Pushing the Limits,' a team supporting a disabled adventurer's plans to encourage our understanding of the geography on our doorstep and to show that exploration is within everyone's reach, whatever their ability.

The Glacier team say goodbye.

"Preparing for an expedition such as Glacier in a Greenhouse certainly wasn’t an easy task. From the moment we first got together in October last year, we committed ourselves to the many months of planning and preparation that such an expedition entails. When combined with the demands of university life there were certainly points where we thought we had bitten off more than we could chew."
