A student-led team from Durham University and their research expedition “Glacier in a Greenhouse‟ in Iceland. The primary purpose of our expedition is to carry out research on the Klofajökull glacier, which is located in a region that has received very little previous research attention, due to its poor accessibility and harsh climate.

"Preparing for an expedition such as Glacier in a Greenhouse certainly wasn’t an easy task. From the moment we first got together in October last year, we committed ourselves to the many months of planning and preparation that such an expedition entails. When combined with the demands of university life there were certainly points where we thought we had bitten off more than we could chew."
