The cost of up-gradation / Renovation of Mayem Lake is Rs 16.6 crore

Boosted by cyclone Ashobaa, the southwest monsoon arrived in Goa on Monday (8/6/15), within three days of it setting over Kerala.
As per its usual itinerary, the monsoon takes about six to seven days to arrive in Goa, after hitting the southern state. This year, it was expected in Goa later this week, after it broke over Kerala on June 5.
"The monsoon arrived faster (in Goa) due to cyclone Ashobaa," said V K Mini, director, meteorological centre, Altinho, Panaji. The deep depression which later accelerated into a cyclonic storm in the east-central Arabian Sea triggered the movement of the southwesterly winds, she explained. Boosted by cyclone Ashobaa, the southwest monsoon arrived in Goa on Monday, within three days of it setting over Kerala. - TOI dtd 9/6/15
