short movie clip of the old packhorse bridge at Carrbridge, Scotland.
This is the oldest bridge in the Scottish highlands. Built in 1717 it was severely damaged in the "muckle spate" of 1829 which left it in the condition seen today.

The Glenshee mountains in winter.
A lot of hillwalkers look down their nose at the Glenshee mountains because they are so easy and accessible, you can even reach the summits of both 'Carn Aosda' and 'the Cairnwell' using the chairlift if you cant manage (or just dont fancy) the hike.
I love them.
They are possibly the best place to see Ptarmigans and Mountain Hares all year and during the winter Snow Buntings hang about in the car park waiting for the photographers to feed them.

Looking north to the 'old man of storr' and the Trotternish ridge.
The Isle of Skye is one of my favourite places in the world but prices for accommodation there have more than doubled even for the old, shabby hotels, without any increase in quality or value, sheer profiteering.
I cant afford to go there anymore so I am dredging through all my old shots.
The chances of good weather are very slim, most of my visits had really wet and windy weather which makes the high booking costs even harder to bear. Also, when the weather is fine you will be eaten alive by midges so invest in one of those wide-brimmed hats with the protective net hanging down.
Thanks for your visit .

Most of the video was shot using my GoPro hero 5 but the end section was shot with my Nikon D7100. I had the wrong bits with me to use a Tripod so it has the fashionable hand-held look

One of Scotlands finest views.
I did upload an older version of this movie last year but I think the recent improvements I made to it justify the new upload. I added a bit more contrast, saturation and sharpness then added a bit of zooming in and out.

Beautiful stairs leading to this hidden waterfall in solang valley. the water was really freezing. But I stepped into the pool anyway and my feet frozen! Didn't dare to stand under the falls though cause I didnt have a change of clothes and there was actually a temple there!

Day 55, Yorkey’s Knob, Australia:
After a rough ride out to the barrier reef on a catamaran travelling at speed for half an hour, plenty of time to see breakfast for a second time. Luckily as soon as the bouncing stops I get over my motion sickness. We arrived at the pontoon and after a short time to recover we all donned wet suites and anti-sting attire, just in case of jelly fish or floating tentacles. This was also the second chance to try out my new Camera, a GoPro Hero.
panoramic views of the mountains of Glencoe and Glen Etive, Scotland. Including (from left to right) 'The Black Mount', Buachaille Etive Mor and 'the three Sisters' of Glencoe. Ben Nevis is the snow capped peak in the distance. The video was shot from Beinn a'Chrulaiste.
That camera and tripod on the left belongs to my own 'happy wanderer' UndaJ, who was shooting a timelapse and somehow managed to avoid being in my little movie.
