I've been indulging in a little retail therapy again...
A new rain jacket from Alpkit, and I finally decided to upgrade from my old Hero 4 GoPro to a shiny new Hero 12 Black, as the GoPro logo matches the new jacket... (no, of course I didn't get it for that, reason, it was only when looking at this snap I noticed).
All was good jacket wise, I stayed nicely dry, but having set the GoPro up last night to shoot RAW photo sequences, I got home today to find all I'd shot was videos. Hmmm... I don't do those video things as a rule, and haven't even got the necessary gubbins on my PC to play it, so no snaps to play with from this ride then.
I'll have to try again to get it to default straight to photos.
Turns out the chest strap for my GoPro is not ideal for skateboarding, but this 50-50 turned out pretty cool.
GoPro Hero3 camera. Great match box size camera, but packs a masive punch. HD video and high res photos. We supply them through the defence side of our business - camouflage-solutions.com and now have them available on wildlifewatchingsupplies.com www.wildlifewatchingsupplies.co.uk/retail/acatalog/Infra-...
The photo also shows our E2 Ground spike and E13 Mini ball head.

Under over - what a cool way to photograph.. Have to find better places to catch more fish and corals :)
My first chance to get the gopro off the ground a bit. I used a PFK Mega Mouth in strong winds, with a net tail to steady it.

I ran out of ways to mount my GoPro on my handlebar, since the clamp area is larger than the GoPro mount is designed for, and I have too much cable housing and cross levers in the way.
I got desparate, and began searching through my bike parts junk box. I ended up finding a Topeak CageMount, that I never used for anything.
Because the clamp on it is very low profile, it was able to slip behind the cable housing, something the GoPro clamp couldn't do. Then I simply clamped the GoPro to the upper section of it. It's not perfect, but it works, and it's very solid. Gravel trails and cobblestone had no affect on it, so I may just use this as a mount on all my bikes.
Topeak also makes the BarXtender, which is the proper mount for something like this, but sometimes you just have to use what you have laying around.
