Gallatin National Forest, near Bozeman, MT- August 2019

Heading towards Sacagawea /(Sakakawea) Peak, the highest mountain in the Bridger Range. Also on the road to Fairy Lake. We had stopped in order to doublecheck our route and this was such a neat, subtle view. So vast and tucked away.

A gorgeous location overall, the lake is a sight to be seen.

A long exposure from Wednesday night as Storm Doris was brewing in the sky, the high water level gave a slightly different look to this well shot place

It was just me & the mountain.

This is a ridge just below Mt Cook. Mt Cook is the tallest mountain in New Zealand and is a most spectacular view to see.

This was captured as the last light if the day was just fading behind the mountains.

5th and penultimate image from my recent trip to Scotland, This little boat anchored on the waters of Loch Long just near the village of Arrochar at the foot of the Cobbler mountain, braved the elements with me as I took a soaking!

Shot with Sony Alpha 7II, 24-105mm f4,

I have just returned from a wonderful weekend in Stirling, celebrating the New years with haggis, ceilidh dancing and a walk by Loch Lomond.

If you look closely, you might see a flock of wild haggis on the mountain across the Loch!

Part of The San Rafael Swell in Utah, also known as “The Little Grand Canyon.”

The San Rafael Swell measures around 75 by 40 miles (121 by 64 km), and consists of giant dome-shaped anticline of sandstone, shale, and limestone that was pushed up during the Paleocene Laramide Orogeny 60-40 million years ago. Since then, extremely powerful flash floods have eroded the sedimentary rocks into numerous valleys, canyons, gorges, mesas, and buttes.

Part of the Swell has geographic features that resemble the planet Mars. The Mars Society decided to set up the Mars Desert Research Station in the area as a Mars analog for such reasons.

I spent a very pleasant morning sat by the Strid, waiting for the sun to settle itself behind the clouds so I could get some longer exposure shots.

Or is it the other way around?

a fantastic view I got when I went to the top of mam tor in the Peak district...one of the best sunrises I have ever witnessed, along with the invasion of fog which covered the valley..it was actually weird going down after the sunrise, as the when I got to the bottom I couldn't see the top anymore nor could I see much infront of me while driving back through the villages

Every weekday morning, I head out into the woods of a local nature preserve to hike, or run depending on the weather, my mood, and how much time I have.

Throughout the early spring, I saw the newborn fawns grow from tiny little beings, to independent and young adults. As the weeks continued on, I would see less and less of this fawn’s mother. And as of a couple weeks ago, I haven’t seen it’s mother at all.

She continues along her normal morning route though, everyday, seemingly unaware that anything has changed. Feeling alone undoubtedly, but carrying on, as that is what she was put on this earth to do.

She would scurry when I came walking through just a couple of months ago. Now, she welcomes me, and then goes about her business as if I’m not even there.

I hope to continue to always see her, and to one day see her with a family of her own.
