a crazy color correction I did. Not sure if I like it, but I am trying to see what i can do with making it seem HOT. This is an ongoing thing, to learn how to color correct professionally.

I had an old menu, which describes this as having some of that gyro meat instead of the Canadian bacon this one came with. It was still pretty good, but I was looking forward to the lamb.

On this day my wife had already made a trip to the farmer's market by bike, only to arrive at a friend's house to be gifted with far more bags of beans that we expected.

Swallowing several bags of food at once was no problem for a single 85-litter Go Getter bag. ( The bags are big enough to contain two children as well. )

The final shot shows that there would still be room to haul double that amount with a second bag, and still had more on the rack, in an addition to carrying a child as well. With the electric assist kit installed, such large loads can still be transorted with only moderate effort.

Yuba sent me a couple new mega-sized acessories for our Yuba. Both the new front rack and pannier look sharp and function well. I'll be sharing more about them in the future.

The new electric Mundo with the Peanut Shell installed with a Go-Getter bag.

We wanted to get to the farmer's market as soon as possible once we returned to town. We were able to quickly drop off our bins full of camping gear and replace them with a large empty one that provided plenty of room for shopping while the rear rack is hauling passengers.

I needed a better view over a fence to see the construction.

Yes, the bike is strong enough to stand on and the center kickstand strong enough to hold me and the bike while I stand on it.

This combination worked extremely well to haul two children and a generous amount of cargo. The electric assist handles the extra effort the additional weight requires, so that the rig still travels at typical bike speeds with reasonable pedaling effort.

The trailer is the short version of the "Bikes at Work" trailer. It looks like a heavy rig and it is, but it's also surprisingly fast. It takes about all this weight to slow the bike down to average speed and effort levels after the electric assist is applied.

See a short video of this setup in action.

We took a back route to Aldi to pick up a few groceries, and also stopped by the mall.

I was riding an unladen Big Dummy, but was still the slower bike when compared to what the electric assist can do on ours.

So, I rode as fast as I wanted to the set the pace, and she used her preferred mix of pedaling and electric assist to match it.

Going by bike made the trip an enjoyable family experience outdoors, while accomplishing the came by car would have felt like a chore.

This what my wife brought home from the Richmond, Indiana farmer's market by bike today, including the 40 pound toddler.

To accomplish this, she was riding an electric Yuba Mundo. It had a giant "Go Getter" bag which swallowed most of the groceries, along with a milk crate, which helped to keep the flowers upright. The child was in the "Peanut Shell" carseat, and the electric assist helped with the return trip which was more up than down.

"One more blueberry, please?"

More commentary about this cold weather family commute is on my blog.

J. is new to winter cycling and was struck by the warm-hat / helmet conflict just as it was time to leave. You can see here we choose the warm-hat today. With more time and planning, a warm headband could be paired a helmet in the future.

This is a little detail for Yuba Mundo owners who have the Peant Shell kid seat and also a Go Getter bag and the plastic rack deck

These two accessories don't work well together out of the box. The Go Getter back is scrunched up, and it's very hard to get the bag buckled underneath the Peanut Shell seat. The frustration is multiplied by the number of times you want to take the bag on and off.

As shown here, I improved the situation some by simply carving out a quarter inch more space for the buckles to go through. The small change made noticable improvement
