Hello,
Here are some photos from our delivery of the IPCC report yesterday to the
MP for Chilliwack-Hope, Mark Strahl. He is a conservative and we were
informed did not bother to attend the emergency debate. we expressed our
extreme disappointment to his constituency assistant that that he did not
even bother to attend the emergency debate in the House of Commons on the
most important issue facing all of humanity!
Cheers

QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES —A young man dressed as a scientist to emphasize the fact that climate change and its effects are real and far-reaching. In the Philippines where climate justice tends to be a lesser priority, activists have to keep finding ways to reinforce their message.
On September 8, 2018, tens of thousands of people joined over 830 actions in 91 countries under the banner of Rise for Climate to demonstrate the urgency of the climate crisis. Communities around the world shined a spotlight on the increasing impacts they are experiencing and demanded local action to keep fossil fuels in the ground. There were hundreds of creative events and actions that challenged fossil fuels and called for a swift and just transition to 100% renewable energy for all. Event organizers emphasized community-led solutions, starting in places most impacted by pollution and climate change.
