Today is National Flag Day of Canada and the folks in my neck of the great white north's woods are making it very clear that we are indeed glorious and free!
And this is why I bought a new iPhone! Because sometimes when you run into the most brilliant scenes, you just need to take a picture.
It felt like -20 degrees Celsius (- 4 Fahrenheit) today, but I don't think these guys felt a thing. I'm not sure which side 'won' though, seeing how everyone was on team Baycrest.

Vancouver Olympics 2010 theme song (I Believe - Nikki Yanofsky)
"I believe in the power that comes, from a world brought together as one, I believe together we'll fly, I believe in the power of you and I".
I am in love with this song, listen to it all the time... I just love this photo, because of the sun hitting the Canadian Maple Leaf on his hat.. which happened totally by accident.. We as a family are really enjoying the Winter Olympics, Reece came home with pretend medals they made at school, he wears them around the house all the time... too cute!!

While I was in California, I thought I should check out Maple syrup since I couldn't find it anywhere in India. It turns out that maple syrup is hard to find even in The Land. Most of the places just stock corn syrup. Corn syrup sucks. Maple syrup rulez. Go Canada!

We set out to observe Vancouver as it prepared for the 2010 Olympics. This is part of a photo journal of our observations. We focused on the newest installations in the city including: signage, pageantry and public/street art. Note: the Cygnus team were observers only, we were not involved in the Vancouver 2010 Wayfinding or signage program(s).
