E così rimangono "miei" a livello fotografico !

One of "my" lakes of the four seasons: in winter with ice and frost are a spectacle to photograph.

I would like to explain why I call them "my"! Why?

But because no one but just nobody goes around the countryside and photograph, let alone these beautiful lakes ... I could see that not even people living nearby they notice ... so they are used to these changes in the seasons, and take for granted even certain beauties ...

And so they remain "mine" on a photographic level!

The Rundetaarn, or Rundetårn (Round Tower in English), is a 17th-century tower located in central Copenhagen, Denmark. One of the many architectural projects of Christian IV, it was built as an astronomical observatory. It is most noted for its equestrian staircase, a 7.5-turn helical corridor leading to the top, and for the expansive views it affords over Copenhagen.

Take one window screen (I thought it worked well with the fork) place it on a kind of white folding plastic table in the morning sunlight (see first comment for my studio), on top of it add a small flat bottomed glass Pyrex bowl, squirt in some dish washing soap and water (just a little not a lot), stir with a spoon in a sort of whisking motion and admire the cool bubbles and patterns! I was hoping for some cool psychedelic colors but didn't really get much color except blue so I processed in B&W. I was pleasantly surprised to see the sharpness of the lens stopped down to f/16. After this I shot an energy drink can and it came out tack sharp with great color contrast!

I estimate the scale of this image to be under 1 inch, if you look to the left, you'll see a "0" which is the last digit of the model number, it measures app. 0.1 inch tall.

Kind of a weird thing too that takes me WAY back to before there were PCs and Macs w/MacDraw. To a time when central computers were the thing and if you wanted briefing charts, you went to the graphics department. Charts could be made but you had to write code in BASIC to control a plotter. Computer generated images were just starting to show up and for fun I coded a program that generated these sphere looking images. It was all about coming up with the equations to modify the radius such that at the edge, it matched the radius of the circle but as you got closer to the center, the radius approached infinity and you got a flat line. The increments were advanced in very small amounts and in effect the plotter drew a 'curved line". I guess what comes around goes around and in case you know early office computers it was an HP9845C workstation.

This is Cissbury ring in Sussex, An Iron Age hill fort was constructed here around 400BC it`s incredibly hilly and commands stunning views to all points of the compass. I initially came up here to scout out a possible sunset location here for the summer months after seeing this tree which sits on North Western edge of the ring.

For this image on a cold dark windy day day I used the chalk path as a lead in line, I though at the time this maybe a reasonable spot to catch a sunset. So last night I went back to catch sunset here and after the climb up the hill which is a good work out I was rewarded with some rather lovely images across a wide valley to some hills and a lovely sky beyond,I`ll post some images shortly.

There happened this magic wild bunny on a cheery spring morning in a reserve, a little haven where no human can set foot - do remember going around the place to check and really was no gate; only fence and a signboard to declare it a park, size of maybe a few tennis courts. wish he'd brought a carrot.

Thanks again for all your magical words on the roses, have a super day/evening! take care friends, be safe ~Buena semana

I love going around other people’s gardens. I see flowers and not weeds.

This is a close-up of a lily flower centre in a garden in Dorset taken about a month ago. The image was taken handheld in natural light. It’s ended up being an abstract, and I guess it’s all about the curves and the contrasts of colour and focus…

The long crop seemed to make the composition. It’s lightly cooked in Nik Color Efex too but not overly so.

Thanks for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Flora Friday (and have a nice weekend…)!

It's not about going around trying to stir up trouble. As long as you're honest and you articulate what you believe to be true, somebody somewhere will become your enemy whether you like it or not.

🎶 Don't want to think about it

Don't want to talk about it

I'm just so sick about it

Can't believe it's ending this way🎶

"You say I'll never change

I'm just a-go around town with some gasoline

Just tryin' to bum a flame

Gonna burn the whole place down

And how do you explain

Ever fallin' in love with a guy like me in the first place

Then turn around, say that I'm the worst thing?

I guess I'm the problem

And you're Ms. "Never Do No Wrong"

If I'm so awful

Then why'd you stick around this long?

And if it's the whiskey

Then why you keep on pullin' it off the shelf?

You hate that when you look at me, you halfway see yourself

And it got me thinkin'

If I'm the problem, well, you might be the reason"

I suppose I really need to go around to the back of the stage and shoot up at what she is looking at.

Neumarkt (Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany)

The course closed sign is clearly visible here. The lock down restrictions had just come into place in Tasmania, and so this beautiful course lay idle. The old clubhouse (originally dating from the 1920s) sits on the top of a hill. At the rear you get a beautiful view of Bell Bay on the Tamar River.

The course location is limited in size with bushland on the east and water on the west, so the club operates a nine hole course. Go around twice for the regular 18 hole round. But it is a lovely picturesque site.

For this photograph I decided to give it a golden glow. The sky is a sepia tint and the clubhouse and foreground is in subdued colours.

Sometimes the concept of a photo comes to life right before your eyes.

These two different species going around and round, swimming away and coming back together to play and swim was so much fun to watch.

We could learn a lot from these two.

It was in Vieste in Puglia at the beginning of October. But that's just a detail. An image of a few minutes before the sun disappears to perpetuate its mission of scouting other hollows, wounds and bumps of our little planet. She goes around in circles and we have the illusion that it is the sun who is going around

A street shot from Manchester, UK (September 2022).

Don't bother with an umbrella or a hat if you're passing by the west coast of Phuket during the rainy season it'll end up in the trees and on a day like today you'll probably end up in the trees with it!

Goodness what the life guards thought of me when I took this, there was a point when I was almost dragged out, it was the weirdest sensation having the sand removed from beneath my feet and feeling my legs being wrenched forwards. I'm not someone that goes around wearing shorts either and my jeans were soaked up to the waist.

The waves in this image are actually mild compared to how they eventually became but the wind and rain was just too strong to point my lens into.. I would rather not destroy the very thing that keeps me sane! Still, I'm quite happy with this image particularly after my disappointment in trying to capture a similar image last weekend, rattling off 100s of images and not achieving a single decent shot.. which is why I had the blues! So, I wasn't about to give up so easily this weekend.

Thank you for passing by :)

He is not so sure if I am a friend or foe. Its a good decision for him to sit up there for a while, watch the traffic going around and stay safe.

This cream colored caterpillar spent the better part of August & September on my Sweet Basil plant. Every day I would come home and find him happily munching away. You could actually watch him taking bites off the leaves! There was enough to go around though, so I just let him munch away.

Going around and around at Steart , made me giddy trying to get a shot.

Tampa, Florida...State Fair Grounds

This last week we had some warm and sunny days so I went park hunting.. Couldn't get into the upper part of Jenkins Estate, Locked gate.. Went to Farmington Paddle and nothing blooming so took a few shots of the fences from the car... Then went to Jackson Bottom and the observation deck was closed off so no birds.. I did go around the little butterfly park between the building and the parking lot but only a couple of things blooming there so I went around thru Hillsboro and wound up at Arbor Roses.. There is always something there and now you see it... LOL!! Happy Bench Monday, Everybody!!!!
