In Halden, Norway. Sweden can be seen in the background, with a glimpse of the fjord between Norway and Sweden - Idefjord.
On our descent the clouds were at times less dense and we had short glimpses of the lakes every now and then. Often this was already over when the camera was out 😉 Here you can see the Grünsee (2.338m) and behind it the Langsee (2.384m), the largest of the Spronser Lakes.
The Spronser Lakes (German: Spronser Seenplatte; Italian: Laghi di Sopranes) is the largest group of high elevation lakes in the Alps, located in South Tyrol, Italy. Here you can find some information:

Yosemite, considered by many the best National Park in the United States.
This 14-image composite captures the High Sierra, including Half Dome, Vernal Fall and Nevada Fall from the vista at Glacier Point.
I don't know that I would characterize it as best, though it is magnificent and beyond compare (as are most of the parks). It is amazing how accessible, and how diverse this park is. The High Sierra is stunning and splendid in its grandeur.
If you visit California and stay only on the coasts in one of the big cities (San Diego, LA, or San Francisco), you are missing the best part of California. Come, explore the eastern interior of the state, and catch a glimpse of heaven.
Clouds are just nature's stepping stones to the heavens.

I used to take pictures in France about windows and doors,
but this time it is in my own country.
I had to figure it out how to display it and this came out.
Middelburg is a very beautiful old city!

In our westernized mindset and our own human nature we always want to see the whole picture. Now I know many of you like to see the details and I would consider myself to be like that as well, but if we are honest we don't like just seeing glimpses. It is like seeing the trailer to a great movie, you want to see the whole movie not just a short clip. Only seeing glimpses is hard. The lack of patience in our nature begs us to know the whole story plus a little bit of curiosity.
Right now we can only see glimpses of what is to come. Many are afraid of what is ahead and many of us are glad we cannot see the future right now as it frankly feels very scary in the present. However, for those who are in Christ Jesus the current glimpses give us a longing and hope for what is to come. We have only seen in part and what we have seen is truly incredible in and of itself. We have witnessed the saving power of God through the death and resurrection of Jesus, but we will in the future witness the full bore of all the riches of His glory which He will share to His beloved!

This was one second of me walking very fast. I was surprised how much remained recognizable because obviously there was a lot of camera movement. The spooky winter woods are so dark that it's a perfect playground for weird ICM fun!
In a way, it's like relinquishing control and becoming merely a witness to see what glimpses of another world may appear in my camera. There is something so liberating in that.
