For the Macro Mondays theme: "Pick Two", my choice is "Speckled Glass"
You are looking through one of the glasses of my glasses, like you were wearing it yourself. And the ones, who have to wear glasses know, how easy those glasses get dirty and how annoying rain can be…..I only see speckles, but the camera also see the frame ;-))
Happy Macro Mondays everyone!
Hello amazing Flickr People !!
Today is another Monday and we have a double challenge on the way. First of all it was a red day at Color my World Daily. And at Macro Mondays the theme is ; glass.
As some of you might already know, I have several obsessions or photographic addictions (yes, eggs are one of my addiction, so are bold colors or tiny people…) and glass marbles are one of my big photographic obsession. I love to photograph my marbles with different lighting and different backgrounds… I love glass marbles. so it was an easy choice for this theme. And since I discovered that red and blue are a very cool match (who knew ??), I decided to go with a blue tainted glass marble. Yes, I know, marbles aren’t very unique or original as photo subjects but I still am fascinated to see all the details inside…It is like a tiny blue universe sealed inside that glass…I like the uniqueness of each marble :-). And I hope you like it too…
Happy CMWD and happy MM to all participants and for all of us, Flickr addicts : have a beautiful day and see you soon on Flickr !!

I visited a butterfly glass house last month with family and was thrilled to see one of these amazing creatures which I've marvelled at in photos on here.
I'm always a little anxious when visiting animals in captivity, but the owner seemed knowledgeable and breeds for reputable places like Kew Gardens and Wisley.
On looking closely it seemed that this beauty had lost its two front legs and I worried that it had been trodden on or damaged in some other way, but apparently glass winged butterflies have two very short front legs which are used only for smelling and tasting!
This is what happens when a Hobbit argues with Gandalf the Magician...........

Tiny akvavit glass inherited in the family... they have to be filled up all the time at Christmas and Easter lunch to contribute to "hygge"... :-)
Fronds of a fir tree near the top end of the Mediterranean Garden, seen against the blue-green glass of the Amazon Waterlily Pavilion in the background, in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.
Venetian glass brought back from Morano in the early 1970s on my way through Italy as I followed the line of the WWII Allied invasion through Italy.
Small glass figurine with lights I was swinging around in the background.
Taken with the Meyer-Optik Goerlitz Trioplan f2.8/100 lens.
This was shot with the lens wide open at f2.8.
Another look at this beautiful chapel ceiling. As the sun and clouds play above the stained glass the light and colors change, adding a presence to the space.
Thank you so much for all of your views and faves! I truly appreciate your feedback.

HMM.. so the macromonday group's theme for today, 9/3, is glass and this is my posting-- no dithering today (probably cause it has great refractions and that tiny lens flare ~grin~). it's in my BFF's garden.
btb, this looks even cooler in the full-screen mode
btb2, and it's not even all blue, janet :)
ah, ha, i can use this for bendy
