So after quite a long hiatus, we ventured into New York City to see the Christmas displays before they get put away for the year. One of the stops was Macy's and this window display seemed appropriate for the New Year. 151 W. 34th St., New York City.
Sorry but not sorry. Some times you have to pull the breaks, stop the engine and go. "Is this really worth it?"
Sometimes it really isn't. Your time and energy is better spent on the things, people and events that bring you joy in life.
Love is the only currency in life that can bring happiness. No large amount is needed; even when served in small quantities, it can go a long way! ♥️
...no greater gift is there than Love! Bokeh love.

The fact that I'm able to stand close and touch this iconic piece of history makes me feel grateful! Happy Thanksgiving. And while we as humans love to receive love, don't forget it’s just as essential to Give Love! And always remember that you are just as special as Macy’s during the holiday season! 🎄♥️ www.instagram.com/p/DRickmaDOsS/?igsh=NWxhZHRwYzluajd0

The State Street Marshall Field's / Macy's Department Store Christmas windows are a bit muted for 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has taken most of the holiday shoppers online rather than the downtown stores
I try not to respond with an attitude, but it happens when someone hurts my feelings. As my cousin said 17 years ago, “If you upset Tanya, you’re pretty much doomed.” However, I usually choose my words very carefully to be nice, even when I feel I'm being treated unfairly. The reason I do this is that I truly dislike being the kind of person who is rude or mean—whether through words or actions. It just doesn’t feel right to me.
While I can be rude at times, I often find myself wanting to hug that person and say, “I’m sorry, did I hurt your feelings?” My mom says I’m a hopeless example of naivety, but I can’t help it!
Anyway, even if you think someone has hurt your feelings (and most of the time, it’s unintentional), please show them love. You never know what someone is going through behind closed doors or a screen. Showing love might be just what that person needs, more than you could ever imagine!
"You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you."

Just last month, I learned how to knit! This has been a huge gift to me, since I have always wanted to learn. The thought of making scarves and blankets for our long New England winters has always warmed my heart...especially when I can share my warmth and love with needy people who will truly treasure my handmade gifts. This soft wooly red scarf will go to the Orphan Foundation of America sometime this winter, and be given to a special person on Valentine's Day. Every year hundreds and hundreds of people knit red scarves to give away to young people as a gift of selfless kindness and love. What a beautiful gesture. If I ever saw all those thousands of scarves, knitted from people all over the world, in one place, I think I would cry. I am so proud to be a part of such a beautiful tradition. If you wish to take part in it too, here is the link...Red Scarf Project.

GiveLove co-founders Patricia Arquette and Rosetta Getty, along with Jacqui Getty, welcomed guests to a private LA residence for the 1st Annual GiveLove to Haiti Dinner. The event’s mission was to raise awareness for GiveLove — a collaborative project to rebuild communities, homes and livelihoods for displaced Haitian earthquake survivors. The exclusive dinner, which drew out “giving” celebs including Maria Bello, Rose McGowan, Rachel Bilson and Odette Yusman. James Van Der Beek, Dave Annable and Bathazar Getty all sported the Choose Haiti H.E.L.P. Bracelet, which is created by Haitian artisans and available at www.blanketamerica.com/node/89. All funds of the bracelet and for the GiveLove event benefit the Haiti relief efforts.
Jonquieres, France near Avignon. English graffiti in France? What's up with that? Was it painted by an English person or by a French person with the assumption that English is the universal language of graffiti and that his audience would be American or English? Regardless, no unguarded flat surface is immune from the graffiti gods.

1 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.
11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
