It was late in the day and I didn't know when I was supposed to put the oven on. The notes from the metrics call fitted exactly on half a page of A4, which was useful, as it was my last page of A4.

Historical art and modern art museums are full of human representations which, transposed into real life, provoke dread: can you imagine being face to face with one of the Colossus of the Sistine Chapel of Michelangelo or with a cubist personage by Picasso? The beauty of a work of art is therefore not necessarily that of the reality. Stephen McNally and I went round to see G&G. The artists were in such a hurry to get McNally out of the house that they forgot I was there. I stayed for over 3 weeks and then decided to leave. I etched my life story on their oak panelling. It's there on the right.

I haven't been in the Times Square area for awhile, it's one of my least favorite places in the city - all those people!!! but I went to get photos of the Gilbert & George installation for the Brooklyn Museum so here I am on a Saturday night. There was a lot going on, all of it interesting and I'll post some of those later.

So for today there's 5 photos for you from inside Tate Britain in London, showing people viewing the vast range of art in the gallery.

There's a mix of styles, compositions and post-processing so hopefully there's something here you'll all like!
