Last year was my first year with a child school aged. I did not know about teacher appreciation week and felt like a dummy when my son came home at the end of the week and said his teacher got lots of gifts from everyone but him! Blush!
This year, I forgot, but luckily someone posted an idea on pinterest and reminded me :)

Each year at the dog-walkers christmas tree on the common, people bring doggy gifts for the local dogs home to leave in the box under the tree.
This Dino’s name is Earl Sneed Sinclair and he’s from the 1991 ~ 1994 TV series “Dinosaurs”. He is I think quite similar to Homer Simpson’s character and the role on the show. He calls himself as “The Mighty Megalosaurus” and he’s a typical blue collar dude. I got this one circa 1991 as a birthday gift from my friend and I found it in the attic just a while ago. It is 4.5 inches tall. Funny thing is that the figure originally came with a yellow hard hat and a lunch box with a small mammal inside to be eaten but those were lost and I can’t find them at the moment. I saw them in different places and time – somewhere in another toy boxes but when I saw them I couldn’t find the main figure so I let them go and forgot about them but now I have the figure. Agrrrrrrrh!!! I have to go through all the boxes and places again!! Dang!! Perhaps the quickest way to end this agony is to put this one away and forget about it again. (Then those accessories will turn up! ~ like magic for sure!)

OMG sooooo romantic!!!!!! this cak was ordered by a guy whos girlfriend loves my cakes! we have been in cahoots with this for weeks, it is a 6" gift box cake with her name tag, they are from interstate and are up here on holiday i have cut a trap door under the cake and in the board and carved out a hollow in the center of the cake and he is going to put in a ring box and use the cake as a surprise!!! they are body builders up here for a comp and have been dieting madly for it, today was the comp so tonight comes the cake! when she cuts in she will hit the ring box and then he will PROPOSE!!!!!!

A gift for another one of our play group leaders. I drew around the hands of all the children and let them choose their own fabric. Then I just had fun with the design.

I have 4 pregnant friends & all of them expecting boys. I decided to make gift sets for them. 4 onesies + 4 bibs + an inkjet printer + an iron-on transfer paper + lots of japanese cartoons= cute (and cheap!) sets.
Gifts for Brent.....2 tiered cake boxes. Felt strange working with square cakes.....need a bit more practise with squares cakes.
Cake: Bottom tier: Spanish orange syrup cake.
Top tier: Lemon delicious cake.
Both tiers layered and iced with Belgian dark chocolate ganache. Covered with electric blue fondant with edible silver detailing.
