Reflections at Gibson Mill, Hardcastle Crags in Calderdale (outside Hebden Bridge)

Gibson Mill was one of the first generation mills of the Industrial Revolution. The Mill was driven by a water wheel inside and produced cotton cloth up until 1890.
Approximately half a mile along the valley there is a 19th-century cotton mill called Gibson Mill. The mill was water powered and has been renovated to demonstrate renewable energy sources and a sustainability strategy. It is surrounded by 400 acres (1.6 km2) of unspoilt woodland and crossed by 30 miles (48 km) of footpaths. The former cotton mill was one of the first powered mills built at the start of the Industrial Revolution.
Water powered turbines, photo voltaic panels, composting toilets, a wood-burning boiler, a wood-burning cocklestove and locally sourced reclaimed interior materials have gone into making the venture sustainable.
The mill, a grade II listed building, reopened to the public on Saturday, 24 September 2005, and there are exhibits about the mill and its workers. (Wiki)

I didn't get too many good sunrises on my Trip along the Great Ocean Road. This however was a particularly stunning one with a patchy covering of high cloud which lit up over the Gibson Steps.
Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire
Been on my bucket list for quite some time. Didn’t bother checking the weather conditions… just went for a morning out and the compulsory full breakfast in Hebden Bridge afterwards. Was taken back by the recommended car park at Clough Hole… very hilly and sections of single-track road leading to it. It’s only ¾ mile walk to the actual mill from the car park, but very steep if you take the direct route down the boulder steps or the meandering longer route… either way I was knackered on the way back. Need to restart my fitness campaign again!
Having said all that, quite happy with how this has turned out. Better conditions and this would make a stunning print, especially with winter snow on the ground.
Another view of Gibsons brings us to their marina. An overpass gives me a different perspective and has me looking down on some very vivid colors. From a wooden boat to a home with a rooftop of plants, a wide angle lens filters out the remaining white boats. I thought it interesting how the shadow on the green cover over the mast, left a unique pattern. in all, it was a very colorful scene.
This Gibson guitar is on a Billboard on the side of a music store near us, something different from flowers,

Gibson Beach is the southernmost beach in Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, south of California's Monterey Peninsula. It's also the best "beach" in the park which is full of rocky bluffs and small pocket coves, all of which are beautiful. On some maps this beach is called "Sandy Beach". Stairsteps lead down to this beach. Looking past the beach here we see Carmel Highlands, the northern part of the coastline that makes up the 90-mile drive that is Big Sur.
Whatever the mode – from the snapshot to the decisive moment to multi-media montage – the intent and purpose of photography is to render in visual terms feelings and experiences that often elude the ability of words to describe. In any case, the eyes have it, and the imagination will always soar farther than was expected :-)

Scenic woodland valley with 15 miles of paths and and a visitor centre in a 19th-century mill.
a bit of a chameleon, this guitar looks more orange from some angles and the red is more pronounced. This is a more accurate representation of it's colour.
