Almost finished uploading my Lake District hols pics but couldn't resist this from today - although not the crispest capture ever it's great to know what Bert looks like at full speed!

Soryu: Time and dimensional travel works on affinities. If one falls out of the stream they will ride in the slipstream until an affinity hooks them back in.
Princess Jun: And the affinity is something they are drawn to?
Soryu: Mmm... yes, but more clearly something that they are attached to. It may not be something they've seen or experienced before but it would be something they affected or that they were affected by.

Soryu: Thank you Defender Silva. Silva here specializes in tracking life forms and so he is invaluable in getting the settings for the lure right.

Fry's Food Stores Mosaic
from the set Fractal Collages, a collection of Digital Visual Mashups
One of a set of mosaics I made from digital photographs I took while shopping at Fry's Food Store in Phoenix, AZ.
The original was a photo from a set I took of colored tableware.
The individual tiles are fractals, digital music visualization stills, digital photos of groceries and disco balls, masterpieces of modern art, other psychedelic images, and collages and mosaics of same.
In the Garden of Unearthly Delights, part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the Fun Park sector had some fairly hair raising rides involving high speed and high G-force. I do like roller coasters but I kept both feet on the ground tonight and was rewarded with this image - actually taken from beyond the boundary fence. Exposure 0.8 sec at Æ’5.6 hand held (leaning against a tree).

While taking a load off my feet at the fair, why not try a long shutter shot of the GForce ride? It changes colors frequently, which added to the effect. No tripod :(

We took our four-year-old son to ThomasLand (www.thomaslanduk.co.uk) today at Drayton Manor (www.draytonmanor.co.uk) and while he was having a rest from all the fun, James and I took turns to sneak on to one of the adult rides. Boy, do I love rollercoasters! I had a think about whether or not a person with liver mets and a very poor prognosis should be doing this, and decided that life is for living and that I should carry on doing the stuff that I enjoy (stuff what my oncologist says I can and cannot do). So I went on first and had the most awesome time! This is one of the shots I made of James as he was whizzing around.
I like the shapes a lot, and love the bold red contrasting with the blue sky and fluffy white clouds.

N.B. The Instrument Approach Plate (IAP) is on its own section of the split-screen monitor.
Other than HOLD ON, what can be said about this experience. As my daughter and I was coming from Fanstasmic, I snapped 3 exposures and here is the result. Thanks for looking.

A puff of smoke as the pilots jock the throttle in the gusty winds at sunset while this 777 swings around to land on runway 01R. Very rare occurrence, the first time in almost a decade that these runways have been used for landing for an entire day. This was only the second heavy to land on 1R that day, immedately after JAL was the first just before. The others opted to land on the 28s up until the last light of the day when most everything used the 01s. This guy was arriving from either LHR or FRA.
After selecting the photos for my Jet Force amusement ride photo essay I decided to storyboard the upload sequence as there were far too many shots to organise in my mind and memorise.
I did a quick edit on Premiere 6 to see how the shots cut together and then switched to a photo editor. The shots travel in a rotating clockwise direction. Since this storyboard wasn't for a client I didn't need to doll it up.

Esta foto fue tomada en Nazca - Perú a solo un km. de la llegada de la etapa Pisco - Nazca.
Se trata del accidente de la camioneta G-FORCE PROTO Nro.331 piloteado por el Ruso Vladimir VASILJEV y el navegante Ucraniano Vitaliy YEVTYEKHOV. no paso de ser solo un susto pero fueron minutos valiosos los perdidos. La camioneta llego al final de la competencia en Santiago en el puesto 16 de la general.

Mondial Jet Force Looping A-frame Ride
Mondial perfected the Jet Force in 2007, taking the same outward-facing seating configuration and swinging/freefall boom motion of the Ultra Max and applying it to a portable A-frame structure. One of the first examples was delivered to Dizzyland Amusements in Northern Ireland and, although this ride made a few early appearances in England, to date it has not seen a companion in the UK.
