This hard-hitting billboard, funded by Getup members, is being installed tomorrow on the Nepean highway, so all the highway traffic passing through the electorate can see it.
Burning coal and gas is heating our planet, supercharging extreme weather. The last thing Tim Wilson and the Morrison Government want is questions from people who've been hit hardest by devastating floods.
We need to do everything we can to make them heard, where they'll matter most.
Together, we'll cut through Mr Wilson's glossy brochures and "net zero by 2050" spin to ensure Goldstein voters know he is part of a government that has:
Increased subsidies for polluting fuels by more than 2.7 billion.
Redirected clean energy funding to gas corporations for dodgy offsets schemes.5
Ignored Traditional Owners who are demanding no fracking on their country.6
Put a gas executive in charge of Covid recovery, who backed huge subsidies to gas corporations, which they are now delivering.7
Put the "foot on the accelerator" of gas expansion while communities reeled from record flooding.8

On October 18 2009 GetUp launched its ReEnergise campaign in the electorate of Sturt in Adelaide. Dozens of people came along to hear from National Director Simon Sheikh lay out GetUp's strategy for convincing local MP Christopher Pyne.
