Don't let them fool you, Bread Street is around the corner, you are on the quiet Quarry Street.

Gulls observing beside pond

The dominant Male Cob was chasing all the males around this evening on lough Erne

clouds building at Silica pond scunthorpe

I could not see anything even though the weasel wanted something very close to me. I thought it was a clump of grasses, and I was shooting quickly without seeing what the little guy was trying to get at.

The viewfinder is not that good in my camera and only on the monitor at home I saw it was a fish.

Low water level at Jordan Lake, North Carolina, USA

Its been warm today with temps reaching 30+, and as Razz is off all walking duties until further notice both him and Rups had a very chilled day with their mum x (that is after Razz helped himself to my spring onions and cosmos seedlings and i banned from the garden into the house for a while! lol )

We are hoping to get the results from Razz's heart monitor this week! It would be nice to think that soon we will all get back to walking and photographing the valley again!

A tiny bush robin on a track at the city's ecosanctuary. They like to catch insects right by your feet but my lens will not focus that close. Maybe if I was 2m 50cm tall? Or should I put an extension ring on my 600mm zoom? Finally after I had retreated backwards about 50m it stopped chasing for a moment and let me get a shot:)

Ironton, Ouray County, Colorado

One of several ghost towns along the Million Dollar Highway (U.S. Route 550), Ironton in 1889 was a key location in the Red Mountain Pass mining district, with 300 buildings and over 1000 inhabitants. But the silver eventually ran out and the last resident passed away in 1963. San Juan National Forest is gradually reclaiming Ironton and now there are only a half dozen structures still standing, none of them very welcoming.

The location is fairly creepy, and this house in particular reminded me of Eddy Murphy's joke about haunted houses in his Delirious comedy routine:

"Oh baby this house is beautiful, I really love this place it's really nice."

["Get out!"]

"Too bad we can't stay baby."

I briefly considered coming back here to do some astrophotography. On second thought, I have reconsidered.

I have done many off road rides on a mountain bike, even some in Switzerland. It is good to get back on the ol Trek off road bike. This is NOT SWitzerland though. Nice ride nonetheless. Middle Tennessee The Gary Wright ( formerly of the band Spooky Tooth) song "Get on the right road 1971

66782 waits for the path of 60044 out of Tunstead to Lostock Hall before it can enter the limestone works. It was pretty gloomy at this point, but I liked the headlamp reflecting on the exiting wagon sides. Then it was off up the hill to get the light going over Tunstead works.

Fortunately the 60 was crawling from a start so I 'got away' with 1/50 second.

I love find these old weathered details around harbours.

The Wood Duck chicks are getting bigger, but she is missing three. Kevin Fox took a picture of them on 6-16-18 and all twelve were there. Keeping our fingers crossed no more disappear. Peace Valley Park, New Britain Pa.

They're getting big. It won't be long before the fledge the nest. They're very active in the nest and this was the only time I could see the two of them in the viewfinder at the same time. My sightline into the nest is a very small window, so I'm happy to get this to keep an eye on them.
