Nice start in the day.
Capture with my Fuji X100's, developed in Aperture with presets and VSCO film while waiting in the conference room.
I’ve now repainted the wheels and used trim line tape to line the running board and boiler, still waiting on a few pieces tough.

Get Pushed Round 15

I'd like to see a photo that has a super soft focus, but not in an attempt to create blur or camera movement, just "fuzzy." But wait there is more... In the U.S. the perception of Ireland is either of a "partying place" or one wrapped in turmoil. I'm guessing it's somewhere in between. So in addition to the soft focus, how about capturing an essence of Irish family life. One last thing, how about the photo speaks for itself and minimize the amount of post processing.
Tough Assignment but I did my best. I'm not used to putting things deliberately out of focus. Dessert was tasty though!

We went out to get some decorating stuff today. I saw these kids on their bikes and scooters in the skateboard park next to the shops.
Today was a fairly busy day in Yosemite National Park with everyone arriving for new years, some friends and I (when i say climb I mean watching) decided to go climb. The weather was perfect, mid 50's around sunset.
It's hard to get the most flattering photgraphs of climbers from below them and with a discomfort with heights, being above them was difficult. So i opted for a long distance shot from a higher position... it paid off! Very happy with the timing and lighting with this photograph, what do you think?

A very hot day at Niagara Falls so the time in the boat getting wet was very refreshing.

11.2011. Hello to all the fans of my curvy figure. It's good to know us girls over 30 and over 150lbs can still turn some heads. I appreciate your appreciation. Since I am an amateur photographer, I do not charge a fee for use of my photos and hold a creative commons license so that someone who wants one of my photos is not limited by a fee or licensing. That being said, this curvy girl loves her pets and has a dog in trouble and not a budget to give him the help he needs. I have set up a ChipIn page to collect donations for my Corgi Sampson's $2,000+ surgery to fix a perineal hernia. Please click on the link below to read our anifamily's story and make donations via paypal. Any donation is greatly appreciated, but if you favorite, save or display my photos on your computer or website, I would like to ask that you donate $1 per photo. Sampson and his Corgi buddies Shiloh & Rusty, as well as their human family thank you!

She's getting way to big way too fast! Laid in the grass with her yesterday and soaked up the evening sun...she is so delicious!
Looks as if this photo of a Hunt at Kilmessan, Co. Meath was taken just at the moment that the hounds were getting the scent of a fox.

A beautiful day for a sail as Get Kraken makes the most of the sun off the shore of Whitehaven on the West coast of Cumbria.
My mind is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Im 5 days out from my due date and instead of lounging around, Im thinking of the next/last adventures as a young lady. Time is no longer on my side and shit is about to change.
I just want to esacpe to somwhere and come back when the baby is out. I feel like I am going to go on the biggest roller coaster in the world by myself while everyone around me watches.
Reading sometimes helps me excape. Logic puzzles... Photoshop lately.
Ruth and I are Flickr buddies for quite a while,
I always admire her creativity in her photography and she's a real pleasure to be a Get Pushed partner :
her idea was to create an image that is typical Belgian (for her) and typical Canadian (for me).
An alternative for me was to do something with music; so, I combined both ideas.
Since I became more or less a self made amateur photographer, I've tried lots of new ideas & techniques,
one of them being concert photography - really awesome;
one thing I like about far away Canada (apart from the stunning nature)
is because it's the home of some amazingly talented musicians :
from left to right and from top to bottom :
Nickelback, seen live in Ancienne Belgique on Sept 6th 2012, taken with my Nokia mobile;
my old timeless hero Neil Young, never seen live because too expensive !
background pic is Daniel Lanois @ Cactusfestival @ Brugge (Bruges) on 9th July 2012, taken with my girlfriend's compact camera;
Leonard Cohen, a timeless voice, never seen live, yep, also, too expensive !
and beautiful lady and voice Sarah Mc Lachlan, once seen live @ Elisabeth Theatre @ Antwerp.
Next to learn for me : how to make a collage where all colors fade into each other !
Does nylon hosiery keep sand from getting between your toes? No! Now I know why she didn't want to join me on the beach. ha ha ha
This week I invested in some 'Flow Improver' to use instead of water to mix the paint, and I set about creating a few backgrounds with a nice watercolour style graded wash. Then I changed my mind and painted this strong plain colour instead! I'm aiming to finish another painting over the weekend too though to use my backgrounds.
Anyway, for this painting I chose 'focal point' as my composition principle, and made the bird bright and sharp. I originally intended to draw a flying bird in the distance in more muted colours and fuzzier, but now I think that would actually ruin this painting (if the other bird was there it would emphasise the focal point bird rather than it jsut being the focal point because it is the only thing in the painting!) - would love some feedback from others.
The other principle I followed was to keep the elements varied in space - I placed the bird off centre and the twig/wire cuts the painting in 2 but not symmetrically.
The other thing I was going to add to this was the word 'fly' in italic elegant lettering in the top right corner. Again, I'm not sure if that would ruin it - please give me any opinions!
