most of the monks one sees begging for money in the streets in Taiwan are con artists. they're not really monks.
This photo is taken from where the fatal shots were fired; the dead man and his friends were standing outside the launderomatt in the background (ground floor). The street-sweeping sign in the foreground shows evidence of return fire. Such happenings are not quite as cool as they look on-screen, especially when it takes the life of a 17 year old neighbour.
