On this day, the equinox, the first day of spring, snow rapidly dissapearing, and the garden coming to life.

I passed by Lansdowne Carnival at lunch time on Thursday. The fun fair is not open yet at the time.
People are still in the preparation of the booths. Jason is one of the booth keeper and he is having lunch.
He is such a generous and kind person allowing me to take the picture of his sunglasses reflection.
In his eyes we can see all the fun is going to happen when the carnival is open later in the afternoon.

I am not used to all the rules about political correctness stuff. You are so easy to be intruding the privacy or sliding into so many âsensitiveâ issues including religion, politics, skin color, race, gender, weight, size etc.
I hope it is still okay if I ask you what aperture and shutter speed you are using in your camera. :o)

A final note:
I did take small size and large size shots too. I picked this medium size one for posting to Flickr randomly and I do not mean any discrimination on small or large sizes. Hope this can serve as my disclaimer! :o)
My good wife made banana loaf and banana muffins, today! I haven't had a muffin yet but the banana loaf is delicious! If I get any closer I'll have to eat these!!

The most beautiful moment of my photographic wandering in Glyfada's fish market yesterday .. Smiling and shy , without any fear of the lens, the fisherman came out from his boat and offered me the "eye of the sea"

I remember one photographer said if you do not get good pictures, it is because you are not getting close enough to your subject.
I try to get closer to the turner and get an abstract composition.

I am reading Susan Sontagâs classic âOn Photographyâ.
She discussed about the motif of modern photography in early decades of twentieth century as âseeing things in a fresh wayâ. She also describes photography as seeing for seeingâs sake.
She quoted Edward Westonâs words that photographers are performing the Blakean task of cleansing the senses, revealing to others the living world around them and showing to them what their own unseeing eyes had missed.
I think still life is the stereotype of photographic genre doing this. We isolate the ordinary objects from their surrounding and let the reader getting closer and seeing them for seeingâs sake.

Annecim, bu fotoyu ne zaman goreceksin bilmiyorum ama sunu bilmeni isterim, hep aklimdasin, belki aramizda kilometreler var ama bu sadece fiziksel bir uzaklik. Bundan cok daha guzellerini hak ediyorsun ve biliyorum biraz gec kaldim bunu sana yollamak icin, :)
