Wow, I cant believe that a year ago today, I started my project 365. So much has changed and happened in one year’s time I am so overwhelmed by how much my life has been touched and changed by this project.
I started this project to honestly use my camera. You know, I paid for it and it would just sit there staring at me. I was being lazy. You can read my 365 to see all my life struggles and triumphs, I will not do a recap of my year like a lot of people I know. Instead I will be giving a lot of thanks and shedding a few tears.
For this shot: I would like to send out a special thank you to Kevin Robbins and Richie of the World Famous Cigar Bar for allowing me the opportunity to play in their bar. I will also like to send a BIG and SPECIAL thank you to Perry Wilson for helping me with this set of shots. Without you this would never happen. Thanks I looooovveeee you!
The one person I would really like to give a BIG THANK YOU to is my mentor James Greco. In all honesty, he is the reason I started this project, he is the reason I kept photography going, making it a passion of mine. Without him none of this would of happened. NONE OF IT. I would of never met Perry, or Kevin, or anyone else on flickr who are stunningly amazing! He has taught me so much and I am deeply thankful and indebt to him. Thanks James, you da bestest!
A special thank you goes out to each and every one of you for following me, commenting, faving, lending laughter, sharing tears, giving me support and comfort when I most needed it. I feel if I name names I will forget someone and feel depressed. For all of you who have touched my life, You all know who you are. I love you guys, each and every one of my flickr contacts, the people who have subscribed to my feed, my photostream, have become contacts, to future contacts to people seeking advice, to those who have helped me in my photographic journey. I have learned so much about life, friends, love, hurt, so much and my deepest love and gratitude goes out to each and every one of you.
So instead of naming names I have decided to surprise you all. Something that has been long overdue. A special thank you to you guys will be coming in the following weeks after my project ends. It’ll be a surprise. If you’ve already received it, A special thank you will see its way to you <3

edit: i've had to fix the weird black haze on the floor b/c it's the one thing that kept bugging the $#*& out of me!--to be honest, i'm not a fan of it, even in the original ...but, i think i'm done now... :D

It's a classic roach coach affair from outer space where a dude in a chillah sombrero and a mexican wrestling mask'll serve you up some tamales that are outta this world!
I think the sombrero and the mask add authenticity to the flavah of these fine delicacies.

However, before you watch it I will offer you these words of warning: this is not my usual stuff. This is a different side of my work; a darker side of me if you will. Having said that. . . enjoy !

Theme Of The Week - "Get Your Freak On"
Now I am homeless. I can't stay at my new house yet because the dog pee smell has been replace by polyurethane smell. We went to pick up the carpet for the living room today, but just as we got to the store, it started to downpour rain. You can't exactly drive around town with a 12 foot roll of carpet on top of your truck in the rain and horrendous wind gusts. Hopefully we will be able to get it tomorrow. Then the guys have to come to measure the stairs and the bedroom.
My dad and uncle want to paint all the walls too; to get rid of the nicotine smell...
Too many decisions!!
Things were just too relaxing and sedate for me today.
I was just gonna kick it at the crib and cook myself somethin' good for dinner.
Enjoy some 'me' time...
But after about an hour of that I could feel the street callin'.
I busted outta the 'Viewminder Cave' and headed to 'The Park' to shoot some strange.
I wasn't let down.
It was another mind-bending evening on the streets.
Nothin' but love and light.
And a cornucopia of craziness.
I met a bazillion great people and saw some good friends.
I don't know what was goin' on with this one...
but it was all good.
I was feelin' the love and the street was really givin' back.
Freakin' magic.
Just magic out there.

Not entirely happy with this, but wanted to jump into the mix for this week's anime emulation challenge in My Face is My Canvas because it would be something new for me. :)
Whirlwind weekend planned yet again. Tonight we're going out to dinner with friends and then to a comedy show in town to see our childhood buddy-turned-comedian try to make us laugh. You might have heard of him (which is so weird to me), his name is Mike Kosta. He grew up in my neighborhood, went to the same schools, played tennis with Andy. So crazy to me that he's a comedian now. Anyway, that's tonight. Tomorrow I'm meeting with two of my bridesmaids to get them measured and let them try on their dresses for the wedding, then having lunch with them before dashing out to another newborn shoot. Yay! Sunday we're scheduled to be cabrewing down the Huron River with some friends. Canoeing + beer = cabrewing. Should be some fun times.

Until Ms. Claus serves the booze. This was inside the Chippendale Eastlake antique shop on 19th Street during the Dickens in the Heights holiday celebration last weekend.
The woman pictures serving up the liquor explained that this was her mother's recipe which included LOTS of vodka and champagne along with some unknown juice. She knows how to party although I'm not sure I'd want folks drinking that concoction inside an antique store if I were a dealer. :)
I think we are past due for a Sybil pic. Here she is - humping a coconut.
She has been at play in the living room for a few months now. All that bathroom training did pay off. She is so much easier to handle. She does bite still, but biting quickly turns to preening and she has even submitted to a few cuddles. Current record about 3 minutes on my lap preening my hand. She's been out around a few very patient visitors so she is getting socialized some. She is such a doll (with attitude!). I feel so lucky to have her.
Self-pees should get Funky, FREAKY and FUN!.... So, GET YOUR FREAK ON! GET YOUR FREAK ON.. get get get... YOUR FREAK ON!
