I'm a bit under the weather today and spent most of my time with tv and press this FAV button on my remote instead of on your photos. LOL :))
This one is for my friend, who had a surgery last Thursday. I am wishing her a speedy recovery and glad to hear that it was not cancer.

But in dark times when we close our eyes
It’s a nightmare,
it’s a nightmare.
And when the sun don’t shine we lose our minds.
But I swear, we can get there. -Bea Miller
Healing doesnt mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls our lives.
We are not weak.
and it's about damn time we change the Stigma surrounding addiction.
This is a B&W version of a photo that will be in my 2016 Senior Thesis Show titled "Impressions".
I have so many awesome photo ideas for the new year. I've decided that once I'm done with my Stigma show I will moving in a completely different direction with my work. NO MORE SAD ARTWORK, I've nailed sad on the head with my photography because I was sad. I'm finally in the right headspace and I've realized I want to make people feel good when they see my portfolio. I want my work to be an example of what can happen with a simple change in attitude. Every day I feel more and more inspired to show everyone how beautiful they really are, and to love themselves the way they should. I've lived far to long focusing on everything that was wrong with me and I began to not care about myself anymore. I'm turning the page now. I'm happy? and that's something that I never thought I would say. I want to show you that there is green grass on the other side of the mountain. That there's actually a light at the end of the tunnel but you have to keep going to be able to see it. Believe me, it's real, and it's brilliant. There's hope for you always you just can't give up on it, and I want my art to be living proof of that. I am proof of it.

I love you all.
Jen is still fighting Pneumonia and a fever and she is still in a Coma although she almost came round a couple of days ago and made a grab for the tubes and lines that are in her, she was restrained for her own safety and put back into the Coma as the Doctors don't want her to wake yet. I saw that as a positive sign....she will awake!

Wishing my dear Twin Sister Karin, in Montreal, a HEALTHY and SPEEDY RECOVERY from Oral Cancer. We were so shocked about this unexpected diagnosis, so I ask all my many Flickr Friends to please say a Prayer for her also. Thank you so much.
NB: The Berlin Banner is actually an old tablecloth that was sent to both my sister and myself from our Father who was living in Berlin. He died many years ago so it is also a souvernir for us in memory of him.
The good news is that it was not cancerous and the cyst went away on its own.

With many thanks to the above.
My daughter's not doing too well at the moment. Going through the family archives today we found this card she'd made for her late grandad many years ago. I think he'd wish to reciprocate now and let her have it back :-)
This photo is dedicated to a dear friend who was feeling a bit under the weather but is now back to her chirpy self:)

Horrendous news. Here's hoping that he is back on the mend soon.
To all my Flickr friends - a very Happy New Year to you. I hope that 2014 is a great year for you all.
I am 99% sure I am not going to be doing another 365 this year, but maybe one a week is a more realistic target ;o)

Unfortunately Chester has been very ill this week. He is currently at the Animal Hospital (where he has been all week) & we, in particular, his brother Humphrey, are really missing him. We are keeping our fingers crossed that he will be home again soon.

My son's family was taken down with the flu today, so what's a mama to do ??? Make a pot of homemade soup and some fresh bread to go with it .... and deliver it just in time for dinner. Made with love, I'm sure it's the cure they need!

Zoe Bear and I are very distressed to learn that our dear Flickr friend Jim Dubois (garnite) is in the hospital fighting a lung infection. Jim had a lung transplant a few years ago and had been doing very well after having had some post-transplant complications, so we know he's a fighter. Please join the For Garnite group and send your healing thoughts and prayers his way.
UPDATE 10:39pm
Greg7 reports that "Linda called and said that Jim's condition hasn't changed much, but that they've figured out that his lung is ok in that it's not a rejection issue, which is good news! She said to tell you to keep up the good work with prayers and positive thinking, and that she really appreciates it!"

Thank you ALL for thinking of me after my recent fall. Feels like recovery is going to be slow and hard. Every time I breathe, it feels like my breastbone is going to rip from my ribs. Hurts to sit here, hurts to lie down, hurts to DO anything! The bruising is big and ugly- thank GOODNESS I can't show you! LOL!
This lovely bouquet is from my wonderful friend, Mary Anne, in New Orleans and has really brightened my day. :)
