Here at Kendra Scott, it’s no secret that we love playing dress up. Inspired by our recent sheer genius post, we decided to show off our own favorite sheer ensembles at the office. Our Austin headquarters was a terrain of gorgeous translucent materials as our gals paired sheer pieces with complimentary Kendra Scott jewelry. From ethereal sheer high-low and pleated skirts, to flouncy sheer tops, the trendy, lightweight material was worn in all sorts of ways at the Kendra Scott office.

Happy Friday everyone – Kendra here! The growing popularity of braids has given women an array of chic and easy options for days when their hair just won’t cooperate. Needless to say, braids have become a hot commodity here at the Kendra Scott office. A few weeks ago, I was having a rushed morning and decided to throw my hair up in a braided bun. It was quick, easy, and I loved the results! My quick up-do was also a hit at the office, so I decided to try it out on one of our fabulous sales reps, Natalie, and share a little DIY with you all. In case you’re ever having a bad hair day or simply want an easy and cute new style, try out my chic braided bun and in just a few steps you’ll be ready to go! See below for step-by-step instructions.
What you need: 2 rubberbands, a handful of bobby pins & hairspray (optional)
{1} Part your hair at its natural part and comb through.
{2} Gather your hair and tie with a rubber band in a low ponytail.
{3} Braid your hair all the way down.
{4} Tie hair back with rubber band (preferably a small, clear one), then loosen braid slightly with your fingers.
{5} Begin wrapping the braid around the top of the ponytail.
{6} Secure with bobby pins as you are wrapping.
{7} Tuck the end of the braid into the bun and secure with a bobby pin.
{8} Finish with hair spray.
Last night, hundreds of celebrities studded the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards. While finding out who won a Golden Globe is always fun, we were more interested in who was winning on the red carpet…and this year was no disappointment! From Salma Hayek’s gorgeous black & gold Gucci gown, to the alluring teal sheer number that Channing Tatum’s beautiful wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum wore, Hollywood’s leading ladies were as glamorous as ever. Of course every gal needs some sparkle to spice up her gown, and the jewelry was also sizzling at last night’s event. Though you may not be hitting the red carpet anytime soon, that doesn’t mean you don’t have a reason to don a red carpet inspired look anytime soon. Prom and wedding season are around the corner after all, so before you hit the mall to find that perfect ensemble, here’s a little inspiration to get you going!

Kate Middleton is one of today’s top style icons and a favorite around the Kendra Scott office. The Duchess of Cambridge has been the topic of discussion on shows like Fashion Police and is constantly found on blogs and other social media sites. She pairs both classic and trendy pieces perfectly for a royally fashionable look.
On a recent trip to Canada, Kate stepped off the plane in navy skinny jeans paired with a simple silk blouse and we were loving her classic chic look. Understated gold jewelry complimented the buttons of her blazer, polishing off the casual ensemble.
To get the look yourself try these J Brand skinny jeans paired with this H&M blazer. Tuck in a silk blouse like this one from French Connection with a simple Dorothy Perkins brown belt. Accessorize with our Vitta Earrings in White and throw on these slingback wedges to complete the look, just like Kate.
