11th February 2013. Arriving at Drei Annen Hohne on a charter service for Railtrail.

The Thyssen Ironworks in Duisburg-Meiderich, built in the grandiose style so typical of the time or advanced industrialization station, finally saw production come to an end with the last tapping or Blast Furnace No. 5 on 4 April 1985.

In the Landscape Park Duisburg Nord extending over an area of about 180 hectares, nature, industrial heritage and a fascinating light installation combine to create a park landscape unlike any other in the world.

From my holidays in Saxony / Germany. This is castle Moritzburg near Dresden.

Just a pretty building in Koblenz, Germany.

Nazi Germany had some of the best soldiers at the time that included the Gebrigsjäger's, Waffen SS and the Fallschrimjägers

Mostly took this picture to show off the new Brickarms MP40 submachine gun. The updated version has a ton of detail in it but its too big. I cut the stock off because I was not a fan of it at all.

7DWF Crazy Tuesday Theme: Wide Angle

MY APOLOGIES: When selecting a Photo for today's theme I grabbed this one thinking I had used my 16-35mm lens to take this shot. I now see that I didn't. I posted in a hurry and unfortunately don't have time to make any changes. Please feel free to take out of today's group "Wide Angle" photos. Thanks for your understanding. (Dang I like that 70-200mm lens! 😊)

The old walled city of Rothenburg in Germany. The full name means "Red Fortress above the Tauber" in German. It's a beautiful Medieval walled city with many wonderful old buildings and winding streets, perfect for exploring. We visited there last September as part of a three week trip through Bavaria, Germany, Austria and Hungary.

Hamburg's old office buildings hides some beautiful hallways and staircases. So lucky knowing one who know where to find them :)
